One of my favorite quick sews! I make mine bigger and use them as snack and lunch bags. Perfect when we need a flat bottom bag. We get compliments all the time. Thanks for the great tutorial! (They have made great beginning of the year gifts for my daughter's teachers and winter break gifts for the specials' teachers.)

What a nice project, to use as a gift bag! I am currently making a quilt, for my daughter's 10th wedding anniversary, and this would be so much nicer to wrap it up with, and less expensive than store bought paper bags! Great tutorial!

Loved this bag so much I had to run into the sewing room to make it. I used 13-inch squares which made it a bit tight to run that top seam around, even with the table off--but, of course, I did it. :) Thanks for the tutorial!

Wow, what a clever bag! I love how easily the folded top creates a tidy channel for the drawstrings. I'm definitely going to make a small one but I'm really thinking of something bigger, I think it would make a smashing shoulder bag. ".... got your bone folder then this would be the ideal tool... I've lost mine so I'll have to use a pen.... " I laughed so loud I woke Buddy up in the middle of a bunny chase. Haven't seen mine for quite a while either, and I refuse to buy another one because I know it's around here somewhere.... Alfie sounds lovely.

debbie shore Maybe Alfie knows something? It's a wonderful project, turned out great. I only made one wee mistake, I made the ribbon channel a bit shallow, more pucker than gather. Other than that I love it and will be making another one today. Thanks for getting me back to the machine, haven't felt inspired for a while, I've missed it :)
