The songs and rhythms of African origin have a great influence on Brazilian Popular Music. 'Orin’ is the Yoruba name given to Candomblé songs, which communicate between the material and spiritual world. The feature-length documentary shows the trajectory of Iuri Passos, a drum teacher at the Gantois terreiro and the first alabê to win the title of master in ethnomusicology at UFBA. People linked to the terreiros, researchers and artists such as Mateus Aleleuia, Letireres Leite, Gerônimo Santana and Gabi Guedes talk about the resistance of this musical tradition and its relationship with the dance and mythology of the Orixás.
