I've had mine for just over a year. Unique style case that can work on bracelet, rubber, nylon, leather. Proper strap monster. I prefer the 40mm and the older style dial. Also pre-Sellita. Mine is right before red rotor too. Also the rubber strap is extremely tough quality. I have sized and oem and a more generic, and the oem is like tire rubber. Really can't slice through at all. I just got a Strapcode oyster bracelet with 10mm ratcheting extension and solid lugs all around, 20/18mm taper. The universal straight lug fits the straight lug case of the BC3 7500 for a near OEM look. Highly recommended for about 100USD. Top notch finishing.

Great to know thanks! I love the rubber strap that came on this oris. Very comfortable and contrasts nicely with the dial and case. I recently bought an after market oris bracelet for the watch but it does not taper. I still like it but I like a good at taper.

I have the same model since 1999 . Great piece bought it back then new for around $500 I think on the factory rubber strap which is great. Mine needs a revision now but I think I will spend the money and bring it back in action . It is understated elegance , minimalistic , less is more…..

I have still the same watch from 2000 and it runs well, because i send it to the oris factory for revision. It was a gift from my parents.

hmmm... that's strange. First time I see a BC3 in 40mm case with red rotor, usually the rotor is grey. but in 42mm case version it's red.

The inner parts of my hour/min hands are black and make them look hollowed. I love the blacked out center of the hands that really makes them appear to float on the dial.

Love the dimensions of mid century timepieces esp these 90s-early 2000s era ones. Size is perfect! For how long have you owned it? Purchased mine (non red rotor) brand new as my first decent watch in 1999

The BC3 advanced is inexpensive now. It's even better. The numbers are lumed in blue. 100 meters water resistant. Screw down crown. Being discontinued.

With that dial layout, and the red rotor, I've dated those to be around 2005. But the 40mm BC3 was made for several years with slight dial evolutions that are all fairly similar, but still distinct if you look around.

what a let down. i always assumed when i look at this watch that it has a screwdown crown! 42 mm without bezel will look too bizarrely huge dial on any average normal size wrist.... at least for me
