Pat, your pipe looks like a great smoker. The bowl is nice and big and the color is good. I agree about the sadness when a pet dies.

I agree, when a dog dies a piece of us dies with it,but we still have the memories just like when our loved ones pass on. Good to see you again Pat, take care my friend

Yes, it's the sincerity you get with dogs - nothing ever surpasses that loyalty.

Good to see you. I'm the same with dogs passing. Yeah you don't have to agree with them or the system to respect the fact they suffered a big loss in their family. Your a good man to acknowledge that. We are all human no matter who we are or how much or little we have. Be well

Yes mate - the royal puppets are chained to their own elitist system too. I would always prefer to be a free citizen and never a subject of anyone.

I couldn't agree more about losing a pet lm the same way being 58 I've lost many friends and family but losing a pet is hard to get over it. I never cried when my parents died but it was a different story when you have to put your pet down. Thanks for posting this. As always a pleasure to hear your wise thoughts on the subject. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

It's a very interesting phenomenon to witness. Whether you respected & adored her, were disinterested or only a casual observer; her passing definitely resonates in one way or another. She was an icon. I still remember watching Churchill's funeral procession on television in 1965 with my Grandparents. As a 10 year old, I'd never seen them wiping tears away. I didn't understand at the time why they would get so emotional over the passing of an English Prime Minister. Faced with the passing of time and the loss of an icon is certainly part of it. 91° here in the Great Lakes, southwest shores of Lake Michigan today. Dear me. Take care Gary

I recall that day well too regarding Churchill. Very heavy day and this latest royal funeral felt the same.

Just how I see it Paul. Equality should stretch to all people and not be tainted by unelected elitism.

I completely agree with your views on the monarchy Pat, but at least this system stops the possibility of Thatcher or Boris declaring themselves "President For Life", as Trump would love to do in the US if he had half a chance.
