Sorry, I misspoke in the video. The Viper ultimate does in fact have a DPI button on the bottom of the mouse. I had a mild stroke before filming that clip in the video apparently lol. It does have a RGB indicator as well, so you DO NOT need synapse to change the DPI steps. However, you will need razer synapse to unbind the right side buttons on the mouse - after which you can than uninstall Razer Synapse and be done with it.

I had a mini stroke watching that clip LOL!! What sensitivity, FOV, and DPI are you using in Apex? I don't play this but am curious based on grip type and I ask because all of the technical data supporting higher DPI (you mentioned 400 and 800dpi) and polling is hard to refute since its measurable. I ordered this to go a long with my Superlight and Viper 8k. Razer's Gigantus V2 is a beast pad with the Viper. Much better than my others with the Viper skates. Superlight I had to add some Tigers and use with my XRay AC pad. The amount of telemetry processes in Synapse is TERRIFYING.

Welp. That was a let down. For being a very small handed person, I was really hoping it'd be smaller than it ended up being. It's definitely small, for sure, but not in a particularly comfortable way. I guess there's a difference between a "mouse for small handed people," and a "small mouse, but for regular size handed people." To be fair, I mostly adapted to it pretty quick, but what I couldn't adapt to was the rubber on the scroll wheel being the LEAST grippy thing I've ever seen. Pair that with the very thick notches in the scroll wheel, and I would more often than not, straight up be unable to turn the scroll wheel mid firefight. The biggest offender though, is the fact that Razer's software straight up doesn't detect the mouse, and you better believe I searched high and low for any and all help. Razer's customer support has yet to get back to me after two days, and I'm basically at the end of my rope. I'll have to return it and keep searching for the perfect "actually small mouse for small handed people."

As someone who has put in the hours with both mice I can say without a doubt it’s hard to pick between the 2. My switches in the GPX feel amazing. I actually took out the omrons and replaced with the Kailh 4.0 and it’s crazy good. One thing I did notice was the Orochi doesn’t have the same grip as the GPX. The GPX sticks to my hand and the orochi feels very slippery. They both are good mice. If the orochi had grips like the GPX I would go for it. Also, my wireless dongle for the orochi actually came apart when taking it out of my pc. I never had any issues with my GPX it is a solid mouse.

The only downside right now is that the orochi v2 is not on amazon and razer take literally two weeks to ship anything... Mine was ordered last week and should be here by Friday. I have a g pro and I have the same issue where I feel the mouse is too large in the back to fingertip how I want to, so hopefully the orochi will be a better shape for me. For reference I have 21cm by 10.5cm hands.. Will update this comment after I play with the mouse for a few days. But dope comparison man, I also feel like it's direct competition to the G pro and ultimate, but a lot of other reviewers are stuck at pinning it against the g305. So obviously it won't beat the 305 in price but it's got a different shape, it's much lower weight and the size is a big factor for most people

One thing I will contest as an Orochi user, is that this mouse has a terrible coating and lacks grip. You seem to love it, and that's great, but I find that my hand slips off this thing as though I was trying to climb a dirty chalkboard. This was easily fixed with bt.l grip tape, but in no world do I think that the Orochi beats out superior coatings like the ones found on the Superlight and the XM1. Once again, maybe this is a personal preference thing, or is good for people with certain hand types?? but seriously, I've never used a mouse that had a more slippery surface. Otherwise, yes, I agree that this is a fantastic budget wireless mouse, and I can't wait to see how it holds up over time. I'm always a little nervous about buttons that are attached to the shell (especially a removable shell), but so far so good.

Do you have the dongle far away from the mouse (orochi v2)? Hey so just wondering I had a glorious model o- and switched to g pro x superlight because whether it be the weight distribution or the sides being smaller I had a hard time using fingertip grip with the o- especially when moving around really fast (I have pretty fat fingers). With the g pro x superlight being bigger and with better weight distribution this isnt a problem at all and I dont feel my fingers and thumb slipping from the side at all. Using fingertip grip on both does the orochi v2 have as much grip as the superlight and are the sides similar in size to the superlight in terms of supporting a chubbier thumb for fingertip grip. My hand is overall small to medium so the orochi v2 length is probably more ideal anyway just need to know if I can grip it especially when playing fast paced, Thank you! Sorry for the long comment.

...so I tried it and I am disappointed to say that its just not for me. I could adjust to the shape, but the width of it really causes the micro adjustments that I am able usually make with my wrist become non existent. Those adjustments are really easy to make with the viper mini because it is so narrow and has those side grooves. That and without those grooves on the side I feel like its challenging to find a consistent grip that I will use every time i grab the mouse. My grip will vary if I have to move my mouse fast and I find myself gripping it diff at the end of a sudden and fast movement across my pad rather than have a grip thats locked. Those side grooves with most mice assist with that., the narrower the better imho Those are my first impressions atleast and I am sure I can adjust to them, but at this point I can say for certain it wont be my main. The viper mini just felt comfortable right away the first time I put my hand on it. There really arent many mice I have just put my hand on immediately and was like "damn this feels good" but the viper mini was one of them. Its an incredible mouse and really cool and good qc, but the shape doesnt enable me to aim to my full potential and shape is king.

I have had great build quality with the Orochi and really unlucky build quality with the GPX. You’re absolutely right. MANY batches of the gpx are fantastic. My new white one is great. My old batches though were a miss. Honestly though, it was to be expected with shut downs and a pandemic. If you have a great copy of the GPX it’s one of the best hands down

Do you think wireless has a big impact on performance? Loving the np01s but I can't help but want to try pro superlight. Orochi was sadly too small for my claw.

@@FreshReviewsYT do you think I should just try the g pro x then? I preformed so insane on the orochi but in my grip it cramps my hands. I love the np01s but I can't stop but think if gpx can provide me that freedom that orochi did

I handle verticality with my elbow but you do it with your fingers, you must be a high sensitivity player with a fingertip grip.
