une des rares communes de la région de Valencia où on parle le castillan. Ailleurs c'est la valenciano qui domine. Différents idiomes en Espagne mais la musique, elle reste universelle. Les Espagnols sont très musiciens. La preuve est ici avec cette Pavane de Fauré. Magnifique.

Don't quite understand some comments about this being too slow. Look up the definition of "pavane." You speed this piece up and you'll ruin it.

This is a beautiful composition. I have visited Faure's grave in Passy cemetery, Paris and prayed for him. In case you don't know, he shares a cemetery with Debussy, the last emperor of Vietnam and Alexandre Millerand, president of France.

Well, I am not one of them. I am a perfectly bilingual Canadian-Syrian. Just because one speaks French does not mean that they will sound funny... I have heard other foreign orchestras pronouncing the lyrics perfectly. Each to their own.

I think this is the right tempo. A lot of people play this piece at a much higher tempo, and it just kills it for me. Can anyone explain why so many people are in a hurry to get to the end of it? I would appreciate, since I am at a loss with this.

the orchestra was beatyful. the choir ....mmmmm. los tenores desafinados . como si cada viejo con esa voz como nasal quisiera ser solista. en unas terminaciones de frase el coro estaba super bajo de afinacion. no hay sonido compacto. sin coro hubiera sido mas bonito.

I feel this piece is much too delicate for a gazillion singers and a huge orchestra….after all, Faure himself called it, “….elegant, assuredly, but not particularly important,” and debuted the version with singers and dancers at the home of the countess to whom he dedicated this piece. It t actually took place in her garden. Also, there were blatant pitch problems in the men’s sections, as they were really flat at times, which is never good. I imagine the choir was so loud that sections could actually hear each other

Sans doute mais il faudrait que vous entendiez des choristes français chanter en espagnol, c'est pire : car ils ne savent pas prononcer la jota, (j) ni la zeta (z). Quant aux syllabes "an", "en", "in" et "on", ils les prononcent comme des nasales. Je dis cela, moi qui suis d'origine ibérique, pour avoir chanté avec des français : ils ont du mal avec l'espagnol. Cette difficulté de prononciation du français que vous mettez en avant se retrouve aussi pour les personnes de langue slave car ils prononcent le "u" en disant "i".

ALBERT ARTIST je sais, je chante parfois en espagnol, les difficultés que vous soulignez existent, mais le chef de choeur (amateur) nous briefe avant de chanter,personnellement j'applique ce que vous dites, sans parler la langue,(sans compter les prononciations sud-américaines, valables pour l'espagnol et le brésilien)
