Orton Hall is age-restricted to students who are at least 19 year of age, and as a result has a quieter and more peaceful atmosphere. Privacy is provided by single rooms, with community-style bathrooms, but to connect with other students all one needs to do is keep their door open. While being more relaxed, Orton still has a fair share of residents that are engaged in the hall community. Getting involved with leadership in the building is popular among students, as is being involved on campus outside of Orton. The hall government in Orton Hall has a tradition of large-scale and exciting programming, and has consistently won awards for Community of the Year. Every floor of Orton Hall has a full kitchen, and residents aren’t required to have a RDA account. Orton is also home to the High School Equivalency program, which resides on the 2nd floor.
