Acetabular margin - acetabular labrum attaches here
Acetabular notch - gap in the acetabular margin, bridged by the transverse acetabular ligament thereby forming the acetabular foramen
Lunate Surface - articulates with head of femur, crescent shaped, wider superiorly, upper portion is the weight bearing surface
Acetabular fossa - ligament teres
Ilium--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Body - upper 2/5 of acetabulum
Ala
a. External Surface - posterior, anterior, and inferior gluteal lines, and supra acetabular groove (acetabular brim)
b. Internal Surface - iliac fossa, auricular surface, iliac tuberosity, pre auricular sulcus
c. Iliac Crest - ventral (anterior 2/3) and dorsal (posterior 1/3) segment. Ventral portion divided into inner, intermediate, and outer lip. Dorsal segment divided into an inner and outer sloping surface.
Ischium---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Body - ischial tuberosity, ischial spine
Ramus - joins inferior ramus of pubis to form the ischiopubic ramus, and this encloses the obturator foramen
Pubis-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Superior ramus - pectineal line, obturator crest, obturator groove, iliopubic eminence
