I teared up watching this and I’m not sure why. It’s so beautiful and happy sounding that a feeling of peace came over me. I felt God’s presence in the music. I’ve never heard of Oscar till today 7/30/21, and I’ll never forget Oscar from this day forward. Awe inspiring talent!

When I make my all time greatest list, Oscar is far and away Number 1 piano. And Ray Brown is there on bass, but Neils Pedersen is a very very close honorable mention. I never get tired of listening to this one. This is a definition!!!!!!!!

Ray Brown who took piano lessons before he decided to be a bassist seems to be highly suited to sensing the most fitting chord improvs he plays with such acute timing. The tone of his bass compliments Oscar's playing better than that of Niels Pedersen whose gift is fingerwork that lends to his speed.

I can't remember how many times I have watched this video but every time I do I cry like a baby. The performances are amazing even the melody of the song is amazing. There are few people about whom yon can say that they are the best in the world at what they do. But you can say it about Oscar and Ray and Neil Pedersen is not far behind. With our loss of Oscar and Ray I have tom say "If God was not a jazz fan before He is now.

All I can say is that NHØP had a right hand that a pretty decent Flamenco Guitarist would ha' been proud to own -and on a BASS! -That, taste, creativity and the need to be challenged. Who else would he play with but Oscar?!

Both on this track, and on other tunes, I think NHØP is just better. He plays so lively and is creative in a way that I don't think Ray Brown quite lives up to, even though Ray is probably more of a legend than Nhøp, I prefer Nhøp. It has nothing to do with who came first. :)
