Hey Bro 👋 I just wanted to share some information with you... I'm in Hamilton, Ontario and it took me almost 6 months to finally get the answer from the Police Services Board regarding whether the Lobby of Police Stations was actually a PUBLIC DOMAIN OR NOT... I was finally told that if the doors were unlocked, then the lobby was in fact a PUBLIC AREA WHERE ANYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO ACCESS AS WELL AS THE PROTECTIONS UNDER THE CANADIAN CHARTER OF RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS AS WELL AS CONSTITUTIONAL PROTECTIONS. The police policies are legally unenforceable under the law. The threat of Trespass of Property is also legally unenforceable in a court of law! The public are not legally bound by Police Department Policies which contradict the Canadian Charter Of Rights and Freedoms or the Canadian Constitution! I suggest that you contact your local Police Services Board for a Legitimate and Legal Answer, however they won't give it up easily, that I can promise you! Great Work My Friend Russ

Please do an open records request for the no recording policy along with all supporting documents used in crafting the policy including the opinion of counsel that the policy complies with the US Constitution in that the policy must serve a legitimate public purpose and is the least restriction possible of an individual's rights. If their reasoning is as described by the officer (confidential matters are discussed in the public lobby), then they are admitting to being negligent because any so-called confidential information can be overheard by other members of the public who are present. That, alone, destroys any claims to confidentiality. In reality, this is another step in increasing the distance of the citizen from the government so as to remove accountability to the citizen.

Private property? The police station that’s funded by the taxpayers is private? 😂 Did these cops get past grade 5, because even a 10-year-old knows the difference between public and private property. This type of deceptive behaviour on behalf of these cops definitely drives a wedge in even further as it pertains to bridging the gap between the police and the general public. The “people” in Ontario (and across Canada) are not fooled by such lies. We are determined to expose “bad policing” by sharing videos just like this- that actually show how police like to think they’re in total control and who will “lie” to achieve that end. They’re trained to talk over us with a firm “authoritarian” voice as a means of gaining and retaining that goal of control regardless of whether what they are saying is truthful or not. We, as Canadians, need more auditors like this to expose police corruption. Good police have nothing to hide while corrupt ones will do everything in their power to ensure nothing is EVER recorded. No dash cams or body cams- telling people they can’t record in the police station (because it’s private property) all go to show they do not want to be transparent! What are they hiding?
