Interesting: is it an adulterant, or a flavourant? I have a small persistent heart throb for Guihua Wulong Cha. I much prefer it compared with Molihua Cha. Chenpi with Laobai Cha is a good combo as well. What's your opinion on other "Flower teas"? So far, it would seem we have similar points of view towards adding additional flavourants to teas..

Great questions! Yeah, I’ve had some amazing guihua hongcha and guihua wulong, and these teas usually have the guihua flowers blended into the teas themselves, so you’re actually brewing flowers along with the tea. The real Jasmine green tea on the other hand is only dried with jasmine flowers, and thus one doesn’t brew the flowers, only brews tea. This guihuaxiang Dancong Oolong on the other hand has no guihua flowers involved at all! It’s taste and fragrance just reminds the farmers of guihua!

@@onerivertea Despite being in Shanghai, I've yet to try/review Guihuaxiang Dancong, (I post on LinkedIn mostly, #TodaysTea) but is is on my wish list.
