Osmolarity is the number of dissociation particles in one liter solution. It is defined as Osmoles/ one liter or mOsmol/ liter. It is very important to calculate the number of particles per substance in a given question. Also, another important part when solving such questions is to differentiate if the question is asking for Osmolarity or Milliosmoles.
