The Oregon State Police Family knows that during these uncertain times that we all need a few words of encouragement to get through, especially those who are extremely vulnerable to the spread of this virus.
Several OSP Employees, who are also current or former members of the United States Military, came together to spread these encouraging words to the Staff & Residents of the Oregon Veterans' Home - Lebanon Oregon (OVHL).
Trooper Rohlf & K-9 Orr, La Grande
Sr. Trooper King, Burns
Trooper Show, Bend
Trooper Chaffin, Trooper Strubel and Sgt. Brewster, Springfield
Trooper Hamilton & K-9 Miley and Sgt. 1st Class Trippett, Klamath Falls
Lt. Mike Iwai, Salem
Trooper Sousa, Salem
Sgt. Marquez, Ontario
Lt. Lee, Central Point
Sr. Trooper Hagen, Capitol Mall
Kelly Fitzpatrick, director of the Oregon Department of Veterans' Affairs Department, which owns the Home in Lebanon, said, “We are so grateful to our partners at the Oregon State Police for remembering our vulnerable veteran residents. Their incredible support is just one of the many ways the state of Oregon is reminding the veteran community that they have not, and will not, forget their sacred promise to honor the service and sacrifice of all who have served in our nation’s military. We also offer our own deep thanks and appreciation to all OSP personnel, who are continuing to serve our state with courage and dedication during this critical time.”
The Oregon Veterans Home of Lebanon have been great partners for many years and have always supported the Oregon State Police. We thought it time that they felt our support again, now more than ever.
