I wish there was a DLC where you could play as a Sevastopol employee before shit hit the fan.

"Tourist mode" - exactly what is missing in this game. At least you can edit some files to switch the enemies to "non-hostile". That gives you more time just for the atmosphere.

Yep. Time when things just started but no one knew what was going on. While marshals tried to avoid panic, when people started missing but it was not like you couldn’t make a sound or Alien would come in the next moment. People scavenging for supplies, locking down part, turning against each other, forming of groups, few isolated cases when people started missing, when alien was “playing it smart and careful “ and picked off alone and isolated people

Imagine making an immersive sim, where you kind of have "runs" where your actions in previous levels could impact how dangerous the station becomes in later levels, with the ultimate objective of surviving for say 20 days, with each day being a run on a single level. If you kill more people, the other humans will become more hostile, but the alien numbers will be reduced because of lack of hosts. Or you could have additional objectives in missions like: "hack seegson drones" to make an area safer for the next few "days", or maybe destroy eggs to reduce the number of face huggers you will find, or have a REALLY difficult mission where you send out a distress signal, which reduces the number of total days you have to survive. Maybe you could also need resources, like food and medicine, and you have to decide if you will take all of it, some of it, or leave it for other survivors, and that could impact the station aswell. Also as more people die, the less upkeep the station has, so more systems will start to become glitchy or dangerous. Imagine if vents would open more slowely, or if computers would freeze frame every few seconds, or maybe doors only open half way. Damn... so many ideas.

Re: the comment about me being sponsored by game companies. I was actually asked by a major publisher to do a video for their game, but since it would essentially be a trailer, I had to decline as it conflicts with my day job as a writer for PC Gamer. Oh well, it was nice to be asked anyway.

Gorgeous video! There should be a game mode available after you complete Alien: Isolation that lets you explore the locations uninterrupted. Better still, an entire version of the maps from before everything went to hell.

I may be late, but there is a mod which freezes the Alien and you are free to explore. It also changes all Androids to being neutral towards you. The only thing bothering you will be other hostile humans, but you can kill them or sneak around. I took my time checking every nook and cranny of Sevastopol and I still think it is one of the best gaming experiences ever made.

On a whim I did a search for this station. Figured all I'd find is game playthroughs. Was rewarded well. Thank you for this. I still haven't bought the game--playing a lot of Elite Dangerous right now--but plan on it, and have watched many a playthrough. This station is fascinating. Can't get enough of it.
