Hi Corrie, I'm really happy you enjoyed the flight. If only the viewers could see how this was filmed. You have a steady arm, and an attention to detail. Our flight from take off, outbound was 1000' until mid strait. Then we were given clearance to 1500'. Once we cleared YVR airspace, and entered Victoria airspace. We were given clearance once again, to climb to 2500 just south of Prevost island. Our cruising speed was 125 indicated. Roughly 140mph ground speed. Best of luck to you. Continue to share your adventures. The people who don't get the chance to see a flight like that, are now able to visually anywhere on the planet! You're an author now. Of the visual kind, and you now have made your lasting mark for others to see! Well done!

@nicholas4137, Nicolas, I am humbled by your kind words. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so gracious in letting me invade your office. I was a good girl and didn't touch any buttons, I only looked with great wonder. There are few days in our life we can look back and truly remember. It was that one day in my life. That one day has changed my life. I have been practising with my camera for a long time, and I finally think I'm "getting it". I still make rookie mistakes with shadows. The video clips I took on that day have my channel on an exponential growth curve. I'm truly humbled that people like to watch the same as me..... WOW! The world has found my channel, and I am so excited to share my art with the world. Being blind in my left eye since birth, in my mind, gives me a "different perspective". I've never let it hold me back, it could be a disability, it's not, it's an ability. I think I SEE a different dimension. I can't explain it. I thank you for sharing the fun details of that wonderful flight. You are a skilled pilot and I can't wait to fly with you again, because, I will. Harbour Air has been so incredibly kind to me, and your company exemplifies, exceptional passenger service, inside and out. I have no affiliation with Harbour Air, it just happens to be one of my favourite "local business". I believe in spend local, it helps keep good companies profitable, to grow and improve and expand, and invest in new technology. The flight in the other direction was just as spectacular, I'd love to hear from the "other" Nic. Apparently there are a few. I appreciate you took the time to leave engaging and kind commentary, thank you. I'll fly with you, if you fly with me. Kind Regards........Corrie. PS, I'm sure you are in many of the flights I've already landed on my channel. I have hundreds of hours of captures, it is so much fun.

Another fine 'full' trip, m'dear. So, tell us, how do you get to fly in the co-pilot's seat? And what altitude did it cruise at and at what speed? @AVMamfortas, I was fortunate to sit in the co-pilot seat because I asked. As the passengers were preparing to head down the ramp, I saw the captain. I said "are you the captain on this flight?" Nick said, "yes, I am". I said "would it be OK if I sit in the right seat beside you?" Nick took a look at the passenger list and said "sure, somebody has to, it's a full flight." As for the altitude, and cruising speed. I didn't ask, bad Corrie. I didn't look at the altimeter either. I was worse than a kid in a candy store, I was pretty excited. I'm practicing my commentary, I'm a slow work in progress. I appreciate your kind words and engaging comments, thank you. As you saw, it was a truly spectacular day on the West Coast.

@AVMamfortas, I have heard on many occasions, "you will never get what you want, if you don't ask". I've lived by this mantra for quite some time and it rarely fails. I've also learned that kindness and simply being nice, goes a really long way. The worst that can happen is that "no" is the answer to the question. The answer is always "no" if you didn't ask. It's simple, ask nice, be nice and the rest just happens. I am grateful for your wonderful comments and that you return often. If I can make someone happy because I shared content that "revved" me up too, it's all worth the time and effort. You'll never know if you don't try. So this is my try. Sincerely, Corrie

Absolutely true. I seem to remember from my flight it was about 3000 feet. No idea about the speed probably about 100knots for a turbine otter, maybe 150-160 for a twin otter which is what I flew in. If any of the Harbour Air pilots read this it would be ice to get their comments

I recall seeing on the news a few years back, a crash by a sea plane, on a flight to Victoria, BC, l believe.Don't know if it's this company. But the findings were, some of the passengers did not know how to use the emergency exit doors and they were not wearing life jackets and drowned! I noticed that you and the pilot also not wearing life jackets, very casual. Did the pilot go over emergency preparedness before the flight? Safe Travels.

@triketacular8093, I did not do a deep dive, but I do remember the accident you make reference to. That accident was a big reason for the well done, safety briefing that was presented before departing the dock. As the passenger in the front of the cabin, I was given explicit instructions for my own departure and about the PFD. I agree, it is always the first thing I pay attention to and that is where the emergency exit is, and then the next closest one. It is so important to always pay close attention to a safety briefing of any kind, it could save your life. It is presented to give you the best shot at survival should there be an unfortunate incident. Thanks for flying with me today. @mothmagic1, Victoria has for sure grown in the past few years. The country thinks this is a great place to live, and they are so right, they are coming here in droves. Not only has it grown, it's very expensive to live here. I am fortunate I could see the writing on the wall, and I financially prepared for it. Having a lifetime career in finance has taught me how to borrow smart, and how to invest smart. I've never made a lot of money, I just knew how to live within my means. Apparently my lifestyle is rare in today's way of life of instant gratification. My own rules are to spend less than I make, live for today, save for tomorrow, have an emergency fund and be kind to people, and donate to worth while causes, of which there are many.
