Probably they used a real existing river for the enclosure and the otters just passed by?
@judgechloe6231

All animals get cranky sometimes. Orangutans are some of the most peaceful animals on Earth, and otters are naturally curious. Putting them in the same enclosure gives them both enrichment, as well as saving money on making seperate enclosures.

@@thiagovidal6137 the whole situation is causing the creature stress, not the otters. Do you think he would pay the otters any attention in the wild? Yeah otters are known to be mobsters. They ain't gonna touch anything alone unless they're big enough, but they will EASILY kill something way larger in big groups. Otters may seem cute but they're straight up gangbangers who come in groups to destroy bigger prey. Wasn't a good idea to put them into the same enclosure as other animals.

@@will0ughby The comparison to people with intellectual disabilities is not necessary, accurate, or tactful, but yeah. I also really don't like that they're being housed with other animals -- especially one that is known to harass large predators tirelessly until they're chased off -- for amusement. I don't know why people think it's cute or funny to force an orangutan to defend itself from 2 dozen otters in a small cage. Unfortunately, many orangutans are nonreleasable orphans due to the deforestation of south america for palm oil, but this is definitely not something a responsible zoo or sanctuary would subject their animals to.
