When my Beautiful Mother passed away 19 years ago ,I played this during the end of the service as a final respect to a most kindhearted women, who brought up seven children, with a Father in the Navy, who spent a lot of time seafaring allover the Globe ( RIP) as well,...This composer is not as popular as some others, and he has composed some unbelievable music, this is one of them.Listen and let it take you to a special place.Goose bump material.

I sang this about 30 years ago. It has remained my favorite choral work EVER. That recurrent theme carries so much feeling and so many interpretations that it makes my heart ache. The Speravimus in Te section is the jewel in the tiara.

Gorgeous work but I'm sorry to say it's worthy of a better performance.
