Good job. Thank you for showing it in detail I wish more people would do that we're all trying to learn I think you'd be best for the one horse motor and the bottle is two solid where the chicken will be limp if you had more speed I think you'll do good

Gates Belt! :) We have been really thinking about building one our self. Wish you were closer, got a puller that would get that off in no time. You can often rent them for free from auto shops. Really enjoyed seeing your setup. I was thinking about doing it with metal but you have made me take a second thought on that. Thank you for sharing! I wonder if you shorten the fingers on the side would help.

It's too late for your build but for others that will attempt DIY Chicken Pluckers. When installing those plucker fingers... 1) use a step drill. Smoother holes. Spade bit always leaves a ragged, raised lip on plastic I've tried to drill. 2) Apply liquid dish soap around the "bulge" above the finger's installation groove. That little bit of lube will ease pulling those fingers in place. 3) wear gloves to save your hands while pulling on those finger ridges.

I don’t see the purpose of the shaft being so long and requiring another bearing at the bottom. A good solid piece of wood would not require that. Also at the bent “formed” area of the spinning plate, I would use that to put two fingers facing down into the bottom and use them as wipers to expel all the feathers. Good work

1 major problem... The motor should be 180° from its location. Inverted, above the pulley, so that the water exiting the barrel doesn't run down into the windings...

A smaller pulley will make that 12" wheel go faster. You want a larger one to slow it down. Best example is the gearing system on a 10 speed bike.

Sorry the translation was poor. :/ So my guess is you have a question about either the rubber fingers inside the barrel used for plucking out the chicken feathers. Or maybe you were asking if the plucker gets out the pin feathers. After running a chicken through the plucker we still have to pull some leftover feathers out by hand. Usually found on the wings or around the butt of the chicken. Hope this helps. If not please ask again and I will do my best.
