It cannot be overstated enough that you owe it to these animals to know that you and your equipment are both fully prepared. I've met so many people that are excited for "the opportunity" to draw on a bull... but the excitement and preparation only starts a few weeks before season. This goes for any animal you plan to hunt. Everyone hates that clean miss. But your first bad hit I promise is something you'll never forget. All that preparation and dedication makes that punched tag more of an accomplishment, and the meat in your game bags that much tastier. God bless you guys. Looking forward to this year's hunting videos.

I have a tip i have used for years on shot nerves..practice with a higher heart rate. Set up you target. Shoot one arrow, run to the target run back, preferably a semi or full on sprint. Pick up your bow without thinking or pausing long shot again.. do this for a few more Astrid arrows each time I guarantee you will get better under pressure fast!

What a great week it has been. Thank you guys for putting together all this great content and for sharing your experiences - good and bad. I’ve had the same issue as Mr. Jones while hunting whitetail in IA. What I figured out is exactly what Trent said in tonight’s video - “you have to be in the mindset of I’m going to harvest this animal.”. My hunting buddy calls it “killer instinct”. You have to be committed to taking that shot. When you do that you will hit your mark. God bless & stay safe.

Always great tips ! The mind set is what I think is most important. Your mind controls the body so for me I never claimed to be the most physically strong but my will to be there and my ability to push myself comes from the right mind set. Thanks for all the great content. Any chance you guys can talk about what you feel constitutes a “clean” camp when hunting in grzz county? You hear clean camp mentioned a lot and then occasionally see videos with people cooking in / near a tent. Clearly there is a spectrum of what is appropriate. Wondering if you would share your opinion on the extent you feel you need to run clean… hang all items of potential interest to bears including first aid kits, gas, chapstick and hydration mixed water, or just the main things like food, waste (e.g. used meal pouches), bloody gear?
