Those mallards (Ducks) are very good eating!! Snag one, strip it of its feathers, gut it and then let it sit in milk for 24 hours. Stuff it with apples and onions then roast it in a 200 degree oven until ready and golden. Eat with gravy and mash!

Maybe visit Nimbin in winter when it’s 25 degrees. Byron Bay would have given you some sea breezes and maybe a cafe with air con while retaining the hippy element.

I love your daily videos! But it has raised do many questions for me, about Australia. Other than the accent, what are the biggest difference(s) between Australia and the US?
@_em_onade
6 жыл бұрын
Richard Harrison I have family in the US. For some reason it’s common over there to eat off paper plates daily and roast meat in disposable foil trays. We use proper ovenware and crockery and wash dishes everyday. My sister says American society is very wasteful. A lot more processed food is consumed too and less meals are cooked from scratch. Disposable plates and cutlery are expensive here. But there’s a concentrated effort to protect the environment in Australia. There are many differences but those are a few. Maybe others can chime in here....

The sound quality makes me ANGRY (and all the other options too). :-) Take that new fangled camera, with the rotten sound, back to the shop and get a replacement. Bernice. Feed the ducks and swans some proper food, unless you want to give them angel wings?
@missruby8679
6 жыл бұрын
explorermap it's a common misconception that the syndrome is caused by giving the birds too much white bread. What really causes angel wing is concentrated feeding. Please have more in depth knowledge of what you are spewing. The theorized causes of angel wing are GENETICS and the EXCESSIVE intake of carbohydrates and proteins. For it to be excessive would probably be maybe a loaf a day at least. So have some chill. Gawd. Not everything you read on the internet has been 100% fact checked.

I'm not spewing anything. It's what the Wild Bird Rescues Gold Coast advise. wildbirdrescues.com.au/feeding-native-birds/feeding-swans-and-ducks/ Also the RSPB and the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust. "Grahame Madge, of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) said: "Feeding ducks on the park pond or geese and swans on rivers has become a long-established favourite pastime for many people, especially parents with young children. "It is an excellent way for the public to have contact with birdlife and for toddlers to learn to appreciate ducks, geese and swans later in life. "But feeding bread, or we've often seen chips, to birds can lead to them developing health problems. "Birds that are unhealthy are more susceptible to predation." He added: "Food thrown into the water, but not eaten, can also cause difficulties with nutrient build-up in the water, especially in closed water like ponds and lakes. "We don't want to stop people from feeding ducks, geese and swans but they should consider buying properly balanced food which is available from pet shops or from vets. "They are even partial to pieces of cut-up green vegetables, which are good for them and which people can take from home." An animal health officer from the WWT said ducks and geese living in park ponds and lakes could become “hooked” on bread at the expense of other food. Too much starch can bring on a condition known as 'Angel wing'; a deformed growth which leaves them bloated and lethargic." "A spokeswoman for the RSPB said making large quantities of bread easily available stops ducks from eating a natural, balanced diet. “White bread in particular has no real nutritional value, so while birds may find it tasty, the danger is that they will fill up on it instead of other foods that could be more beneficial to them,” she said. “There’s also a risk that ducks and other water fowl could get an illness known as angel wing, which is caused by not getting the right nutrients in their diet. The illness causes a deformity in birds’ wings that can hamper the way they fly or even stop them altogether, which could obviously be fatal.” That's my facts checked. What about yours?
@jonxavier7232
6 жыл бұрын
explorermap chill will ya. “There is a risk” does not mean a guarantee. There is a risk of dying from eating fatty food, fast food, processed food etc do you not eat them all? The danger is comes with over feeding, like a tourist or crowded spot where many people go to over feed. Everyone wants to tell everyone else what to do, what to say nowadays. Geez. Suddenly everyone is an expert using google and good old cut and paste.
