Pretty impressive my friend. Not familiar with that variety of Ensette. I’ve have a few Ensette M. Here in Pensacola FL but nothing this tall. Guess I need to find one and see how tall I can grow it. Nice job

When.plants sulk then inexplicably take off roots find something tasty below ground. I joked once that a tree had 'found a dead horse', which upset a friend butwithoutf serious chemical study we can't know. Monton's soil might also hold prehistoric beasts. Rock-on!

Trees grow well round here as you know, lots of them I did the ‘no dig gardening’ approach in the area where this bed was going, well before I built it

You are right on manure and watering

Yes, lesson learnt this year! I always use a lot of manure, but this was next level when it came to the amount we used vs compost

My maurelii is over 5m .just Just measured it. that went in with a huge amount of compost and fish blood and bone and is watered with an irrigation system. Give them they want and they get massive.not looking forward to taking it up this year because it’s so heavy
