Hi Gal, Thanks a lot for the video! It was interesting. However, it would be even more useful to include some additional information on file management, such as how to organize files on a drive, how to structure projects in Premiere Pro, and perhaps a brief look at file management for projects outside of KZitem. Not all of us work solely on KZitem creation; some of us are involved in the industry. For example, when working with clients who regularly collaborate with an editor, it's often necessary to reuse files from older projects. It would be greatly appreciated if you could cover this topic in more detail in a future video. Thanks again!

Thanks for this! I'm curious about how you record your screen and keep it in sync with your other camera. Also how do you choose the screen resolution, so it isn't too big or too small when displayed on youtube - yet still having enough resolution to zoom into the screen recording as well? Also, doesn't the mic in your face make it hard to see your screen and get in the way of your hands/keyboard?

Other editors suggest using multi-cam editing to edit this kind of video. I had mixed success trying to use multi-cam and have gone back to manually editing with several tracks like your setup. Any feedback or suggestions on multi-cam as a possible faster/better workflow?
@PremiereGal

We did actually have a bit on this in the first cut, but we cut it out as it could be its own topic! We would probably use multicam, but we would need to manually create a camera angle that includes the screen and react cam in one nested sequence...which from experience slows down performance. I think if we had 5+ angles but in our case we decided to do the enable/disable workflow with 3 layers bc it is easily manageable and works great for our flow. But an update multicam is overdue! thx for topic suggestion :)

Hi I have clients that reuse assets from older projects, depending on your workflow / working hardrive space you can look into using Productions in Premiere, basically a bunch of projects in main master Production so you can use assets from any project you have added to your production. It has pros and cons but can be really useful. Other things would be making logo lockups, lower thirds etc. Into mogrts and then making a library for each client.

I'm happy to chat with the team to see if this is a topic we can cover. However we only produce content for KZitem and social, so we only provide info on our own workflow. Unless we have a guest tv editor on the show in the future.

It depends on the effect with cosmo on, it can slow down editing playback, so we turn off color grading just until we export and we snap it back on 💪

Hey, and do you have a video on how to upload a video to KZitem with 5.1 sound and, more importantly, how to check if KZitem has kept the 5.1 sound and not converted it to stereo? (Not owning a 5.1 set - so I'm talking about checking in based on, e.g., from stats for nerds. Is it possible?)
@PremiereGal

I don't own 5.1 either haha, but its a good question and worth investigating at some point! ❤

@@PremiereGal Yes, please! ❤❤❤ I am struggling for the second week. The video is not important or urgent but I want to understand the topic. This is the first time I'm working with 5.1 audio and I can't hide the fact that I haven't found any good guide on how to grasp the subject step by step, including rendering to a KZitem-friendly format. I did find some 5.1 commercial video on the web, which even after downloading to disk and uploading to Adobe Premiere retained 5.1 (six channels in one track). My 5.1 samples that I uploaded to KZitem are in stereo after downloading. And now I don't know if they are in stereo because KZitem flattened the sound, or if they are in stereo because the downloader flattened the 5.1 to stereo. The guidelines for 5.1 on YT for h.264 that I found are: AAC audio codec, 48000 Hz, 5.1 channels of course, bitrate 384 kbps. And that's what I did in this video. All the settings in the project are also correct (I hope), i.e. each track assigned to the corresponding speaker in the audio track mixer, so theoretically KZitem should retain 5.1. In the video properties you can see that it rendered correctly: (Channel(s): 6 channels. Channel layout: C L R Ls Rs LFE). The question is what KZitem will do about it. In the nerd stats, you can see that KZitem used the opus codec (251), except that supposedly this codec can handle both stereo and 5.1. I don't know if it's possible to test this other than just by running it on a 5.1 set and I don't have one. After downloading this video from within KZitem Studio, the video is in stereo and only in 720p (the original was 4K). There is a video on KZitem how the guy in KZitem settings has the option to enable/disable 5.1 sound, and I never saw such an option. The comments under that video suggest that it's the KZitem app on the TV that has that option.

If you do auto high bitrate to match your sequence which is 4k it will set it to you, but around 35 should be good.
