We're taking this ferry on 1/24/24, in a few days. Good to know I should probably take something for motion sickness. It makes sense since Tarifa is a hot spot for kite surfing/surfing, rough waters. Would've been nice to see some of the customs process, but maybe they prohibit filming. Also, not surprised about the disorganization on the boat; our trains/buses through Spain all seemed completely unorganized. At least they're consistent 🇪🇸
@JourneywithJenandDrew

The customs process was also a little unorganized 😂 You got in a line on the boat and they stamp your passport then they check again when you’re walking out! It’s simple but effective hahaha

All the things you see around you are 100% Moroccan culture, even the zellij wadak is a bow that was invented by the Arabs, but that is a Moroccan shape similar to the bow. This is a triangular briwat, not a seffa. You may find similarities in Spain, because we ruled Spain at that time

@@rifenossimple4344 Morocco did not rule Andalusia except in two periods, the period of the Almohads and the Almoravids. Either Granada ruled for a long time, or the Emirate of Cordoba also, and the original inhabitants are Spaniards and Berbers. As for Berbers, they mixed with Arabs. And before Islam, it is said that their origins are Canaan, that is, they take care of sheep, and they have trades, even buildings that are the same

So I am thinking of traveling to spain (in July) and explore the Andalusia region and then visit Morocco then back to Spain, how easy was it to do this trip to Morocco? cost?
@JourneywithJenandDrew
Жыл бұрын
That will be such an awesome trip! It was not too difficult. We definitely recommend looking into blabla car for transport from place to place. Occasionally it will have better timing and definitely better prices - but the busses and trains are also great. The ferry was surprisingly pricey (about $70) but there were not flights for a good price for that weekend. I would look into both and compare, sometimes theres amazing flight deals into Morocco - we hope to do another one soon and go back. But overall the trip was very easy and worth it.
