Actually, Thai people aren't scared of going to jail but rather they are more afraid of bad Karma. Thailand is a predominantly Buddhist country and they believe in Karma which means that if they do good deeds, good things will happen to them, and vice versa. Thai people are more afraid of getting bad Karma than jail so they commit themselves to being a good moral person.

Many cant grasp how BIG Bangkok is.. Its more than 5 times size than New york and have around 5-6 million more people than Newyork.(many work in bangkok but are written home in other parts of Thailand) And the best? Bangkok is between 65-70%(or more) cheaper to live in very comfortable permanent than most major American/Canadian citys and ALOT safer too Heck i live a MONTH here on what my buddy pays in rent for a small old rundown apartment in NY

Welcome to BKK to your family!!! BKK is a wonderful city if you like keeping busy and don't mind the tropical weather. I spent over 5 years in the US doing my studies, and when I got back to my home town here I felt bombarded with malls, shops, abd all types of eateries. Needless to say yoy can have continuous fun but expenses can get out of hand if you're not careful. I was that, but luckily I was still single at the time. I hope you get to explore the various sections of the city to get a better understanding of how life flows in this city. Like the Sukhumvit is the main shopping strip, while Satorn is the financial/business area. Yaowarat is China Town proper of BKK. Pahurat area is India Town. There's also a Little Arabia in the Nanna area of Sukhumvit Road. Outlet malls are further out, near Suvannabhumi Int'l Airport called Siam Outlet Mall, similar in design to other oulet malls in other countries. For wholesale priced clothing, you get them at Pratunam Plaza. There's a huge variety of cheap but fair to good quality clothing there. It is near Central World Mall. Finally, you've probably already heard of Chattuchak Open Market already, which is probably the largest of its kind in Asia if not more. I could go on, but I think I'd run on too long here. Have a GREAT TIME in BKK!!! Oh, I just subscribed.
@TheDufresnes

We just lived in Costa Rica for 7 years so we can handle the tropics! Thanks for all the recommendations and yes i (Chris) went to Chattuchak back in 2006 and was blown away by it's size. We will definitely be going there and making a video to show people. Thanks for watching and subscribing!

Hi...I'm watching form a small province in the north of Thailand and I seldom go to Bagkok so I haven't been to many interesting places there. It's a really nice VDO and I wished you'd have let your two young boys to be part of it, eg. you can ask their opinions about certain things you see on your way while exploring interesting places. We'd like hear how they think about things they're seeing, it dosen't matter what their opinion is. Anyway thank you sooooooo much for taking us along the journey.
@shaynadufresne
Ай бұрын
We ALWAYS give our boys any and all opportunities to talk about whatever they want in the videos, and they usually do. If you watch many of our other videos over the past 7 years, including our most recent ones they do some sharing of their opinions occasionally. They are also teenage boys that naturally don't always want to be in the videos or speak in them sometimes, depends in the day, and that's ok! We never force them and always "let" them when they choose to want to be involved.
