Hey! :D We have made a lot of progress on the top floor. Just finished painting it. It's finally starting to take shape. Still a lot of work to do on it tho. After it's finished we will make a video about it. And Vulcho has probably doubled his weight since that video. The dog eats everything he lays his eyes on. XD

Hi guys. Again. Loving the videos. The videography and editing is adding great quality. Are you planning any vids on costs of the work, labour etc? Julian
@idaandjakub
Жыл бұрын
Hey Julian, we have a lot of video ideas that we would like to do, just not enough time to do them at the moment. Hopefully in the near future we will start uploading more often and also do a video that covers the cost of things. We have been keeping track of the general expenses so it shouldn't be a problem to do. We are already over our original cost estimation for the renovation and we are nowhere near done. 😅 However, it's still all cheaper than doing a renovation in the UK for sure.

I love how you have your bloopers. That looks like a big village from the aerial shots. Having grown up in Hawaii, I'm not a fan of the snow, so we'll probably move somewhere near the seaside when we come to stay in Bulgaria. I look forward to seeing more of your adventure!
@idaandjakub
Жыл бұрын
The village has around 2600+ people living in it so I guess that's big for a village. I also don't think I would be a big fan of snow if I grew up in Hawaii! 🤣 Do you have any places in mind near the seaside where you would potentially like to move to?

@@idaandjakub I really like Nessebar and Sozopol, so I'd like to be relatively close to them, and not too far N or S on the coast, so we aren't too far from Sliven where her parents are. I'll have to spend more time in the country and look around before we decide. It would be good to get something big enough so that when are boys come to visit there is lots of room. I only know a handful of words in Bulgarian, so last month I started spending an hour or two daily on learning BG. Its a complex language and will take a while, but my desire to live there is making the commitment easier. Has Jakub started trying to learn Bulgarian?
@idaandjakub
Жыл бұрын
@@TheRealRaygor Well, seems like you are more committed than me! XD I started taking lessons about two weeks ago so I have one online lesson a week with a teacher. Obviously this is not enough and I should be spending more time practicing in my own time... I'll start doing that soon because it's about time I know how to speak Bulgarian. It should be easier for me as well since I'm from Slovakia and there are similarities in the language.

Hey! Thank you for the kind words. We mainly use the Canon EOS R6 with RF 24-70mm f/2.8 and a 2-5 stop ND filter + Mist Filter on the lens. A very good cheaper lens option would be RF 24-105mm f/4 - I started with this and it's a great lens.

Looks great - surprised that you can dryline over an uninsulated wall in BG. Here in the UK, you would have to put 60mm PIR insulation first and then line over. Project looks awesome and been enjoying the videos!

We add a layer and sometimes even two of wall insulation from the outside. The building process here is definitely a bit different from the UK. Here it's more like "just do whatever seems to work" XD
