This is a video summary of an 1100 km cycle touring adventure undertaken by Darion, Kathy and Michael over a 3 week period through north-eastern Victoria, Australia in March 2022.
We followed a counter-clockwise route beginning at the NSW town of Corowa on the Murray River linking up a number of the wonderful Rail Trails scattered throughout regional Victoria.
These included sections of the High Country Rail Trail, O’Keefe Rail Trail, Great Victorian Rail Trail, Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, and Great Valley Rail Trail.
Track and road surfaces were many and varied, including compacted earth, granitic sand, compacted gravel and sealed bitumen.
Averaging around 60 km each day, we camped overnight in Corowa, Yarrawonga, Tocumwal, Nathalia, Echuca, Elmore, Bendigo, Heathcote, Seymour, Molesworth, Mansfield, Tolmie, Whitfield, Everton and Bright, with two rest days.
