This is very interesting. I've fluctuated between not using rewards and using a certain amount of rewarding. I haven't considered a system like this before. I like the 3 areas: attitude, attention, done on time. That addresses the most important things and the things that cause the most "hang-ups" in a day. I think I struggle with the thought that "will they continue to be motivated when there is no reward?" But haven't really thought it through. In the adult world the reward for working hard is you get paid. So there are natural rewards. And I realize it's difficult for kids especially to appreciate the reward of gaining an education when it's such a long process. I'm definitely going to consider this because it's been a bit of a struggle around here with those 3 areas.

I feel like it slowly develops into habits… that’s the goal anyways. It should not be as hard as it is in the beginning. I know that attitude has changed since we started homeschooling, and often a quick reminder gets some attitudes back in check.
