One of the few mods these cars actually need. Now your good for another 100k.

Even if you don't track? Just looking for opinions as I'm doing preventative maintenance and deciding on which to go for (OEM vs Koyo)

This is awesome content- I have a question- I’m about to do this very same setup! B&M auto transmission cooler with a Koyo Radiator on my 05 Sentra SE-R with the auto tranny. I’m in VA so only maybe a month or two out of the year we get cold weather and I’m now hearing about a Blue Dana Tru-Cool thermal bypass valve that regulates the temp- CVTs like 176’ and the bypass allows up to 180’ which is just about right- what do you recommend? Running too cool no bueno- staying in the 176-180 area would be ideal correct? Keep on doing what you do guys! 🤙🏼

Thanks for the reply- I really wanted to know your guys input too- with tranny heat is the No. 1 killer
Overhauled the cooling system in my 100k+ tree-fiddy about a year ago. Koyo rad, new water pump, new hoses, etc...

Any advice on doing water pump? Got 180k out of the one in my IS-35, and ironically busted the nipple of the radiator when replacing it... Think I might need a new radiator on my IS-F now, so if water pump is in that area, might as well while I'm in there right? Thanks!

Just replaced my radiator on my ISF, did not go with a Koyorad radiator because doesn't have a solution for the trans cooler.

In our opinion it would sell much better if it did.

RR Racing has had a drop in kit with Koyorad and Setrab trans cooler for years now. But that’s thanks to RR Racing not Koyo, idk what Koyo was thinking on this one

Hi. I was going to order either a Megan Racing or Toyorad aluminum radiator for my IS250. Do I need to get a transmission cooler as well for my IS250 because the stock radiator has trans cooler connectors?
@motoiq

We recommend Koyo over Megan, and if you have an automatic transmission you need the cooler.

Its a Setrab so similar quality of the heat exchanger, what's better is you don't have to make brackets.

Quick question is the Rad and Redline cool good in all winter condition?
@motoiq
3 жыл бұрын
Yes but for severe northern winter conditions you have to pay attention to the coolant concentration to prevent freezing.
