Wow. ! I hope în 2 years I can go to mount blanc.... now I know that I need experience! I just discovered my passion last year ! În 10 months I have summited 5 peaks. But not higher than 2400 m! But step by step I will go higher. For me the goal is that în 2 year I can climb mount blanc

Stayed at the hut in 2019 and it’s bloody fantastic and great hosts. The walk to it is an adventure in its own with wildlife spotting all the way. We had a coffee etc at the campsite cafe prior to heading up the mountain for our summit the following day. The crevasses can be a little off putting but nothing to worry about if you’ve a good guide or you know what you are doing. Book and go!

Nice video, I did the trip with you back in 2013. I like what they've done with the outdoor decking area very nice. I would also like to mention, your company handled the week very well, we couldn't summit Mont Blanc due to weather so you took us to Switzerland instead which was fantastic. I ended up staying on after the week was over and summiting MB with a guide when the weather changed. Great time.

and also, I found Paradiso exceptionally hard, which looking back was essential.

I’m going private this year to MB as it’s my third time on the mountain in august. Luckily the French no longer need you to isolate for 7 or 10 days.

Nice. Btw, this is Madonna peak (4058m), right? Paradiso peak is a bit further back the ridge and a bit more difficult.

Thanks so much for all these advice! What do you do if somebody suffers from an altitude sickness? Any prevention or natural medicine available?

I am planing this trip recently and noticed most likely the only way for people coming from a far distance is by an own car. Anyone experience in getting to ponte or near the start of the trail by bus or something like that?

Could this not have a negative effect? Doing a multi day hike before attempting mount blanc seems a bit mental surely fatigue and aches and pains would become an issue…

It's a fair point and certainly something we considered in designing our program. The GP ascent usually finishes just after lunch on day 2, with the rest of the day spent relaxing/acclimatising at the hut. Day 3 is just walking down to the valley (2h) and eating Italian ice cream while we plan for Mont Blanc, and day 4 is usually a late start and 2h walk to the Tete Rousse hut, so there is quite a lot of R&R between the two big ascent days. My feeling is that anyone strong enough to attempt Mont Blanc should be able to comfortably recover in that time.
