Thanks for the video and for documenting a bunch of the Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club boats coming back from one of our annual outings. That's my boat directly behind you in the large locks and you are surrounded by other MBYC members. I'll have to send a link to the rest of them.

Thank you so much! I admit, it's strange seeing other channels with way more subscribers and way less polish or content, but we don't dwell on it. We'll just keep making videos and maybe someday something will come of it. Appreciate the comment and thank you for watching!

This is the first time I've watched their Videos. I'm not going to make it all the way thru, because of that terribvle background music. I watch these videos for the information I can get from them, not for loud music. Sorry, but I think this is a bad channel.

Good morning. We recently put a 2013 R31CB on contract, and hope to get possession in a couple of weeks. While searching for information, we found your video, and enjoyed it. The layout of the flybridge really intrigued us! The additional seating and the solar panel on the back. I assume this is something you did and I am hoping you could share details of that retrofit. TIA for any information you share.

Hello- the Ranger 31CB actually belongs to a family member, but we know the boat well! The solar panel install is very straightforward. The panel is connected to a solar controller which is connected to the house bank of batteries. Very helpful for days out at anchor!

@@CruisingMaya Thanks for the reply! I agree the solar panel should be straightforward, what really intrigued us is the seating. The 2013 R31CB comes standard with just the Helm bench, but on this video, and I think your most recent video, it is shown with an additional L-shaped bench. I was wondering if Rachel and Luke did that on their own. We will attempt something similar, but if they have any suggestions to make my design easier, I would greatly appreciate it! It appears to be pontoon seats that have been mounted directly to the top. is it that simple? TIA.

Great video! Thanks for taking us along. I'm starting the search for a cruising boat for the Great Lakes and maybe the Great Loop one of these days. I'm really liking what I've seen of the Ranger Tugs so far. How do you think the RT 29 would do with a family of four? It would be my wife and me and our two boys (9 and 10 year olds) Thanks for any thoughts and look forward to following your channel. Safe Travels!
@CruisingMaya

You are very welcome! From my knowledge of rangers, I would advise you go with the at least the 31. Most importantly, the engine access is SOOO much better on the 31 than the 29. Engine access pays dividends over and over. Additionally, the 31's flybridge makes the boat feel like it has the double the space- its frickin awesome up there. Also the 31's berth is pretty spacious- I'm 6'3" and fit great in there. I'm all for the 31, but no matter what boat you have if you are doing the Great Loop you're a winner in my book. Cheers!
