Hello, Graham. We intend to buy 2009/2010 R30. When the front seats swivel, are one's feet left dangling or not? Best regards Alistair Great video, thank you.

@@Smallmotorhome Thank you, Graham. We live in Belfast so it's impossible to see an R30 in the flesh. Consequently we must travel to GB to purchase. We did consider a Trigano tribute 550, a little more space, but 4 seats and a shorter body wins the day. The R30 is a beautiful thing, too.

How much room is there for toilet paper in the toilet?... We normally buy a pack of 8 I Denmark each time we buy a packet. Is it easy to store 7 rolls somewhere, maybe in the small room in the back of the toilet room?

Hi, can you make the single seat behind the drivers seat into a two-seater? Also, would you still recommend the R30 ?
@Smallmotorhome
Жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, yes you can make the seat into a side facing two seater settee exactly the same as the Dimension see the pictures here www.smallmotorhome.co.uk/camping-in-a-romahome-dimension.html The R30 is a lovely van and I would definitely recommend it from our experience.

Thanks for your reply. I'm relocating to Cumbria but will continue to work down south for the next year. So I'm looking at the r30 for a temporary home, then a leisure vehicle . Are there any issues to look for with regard to the van? Any help is greatly appreciated.

How is making food in the van effecting in inner environment?... Most people have like something to suck in the fumes from the food? Would it then not stick to the seats and such being so close to the place you cook?
@Smallmotorhome

There is a roof vent to open to let fumes out and also a large Hieki skylight, we don't find it a problem.

I wonder... on that back wall in the kithing - should be possible to fix something on the wall like a place for herbs and such. Ahhh I see you use suck things for fixing stuff on surfaces... good idea. I wonder how many things you can get with Sucking discs.

Anders Erichsen I don't believe I've ever seen a left hand drive R30 but I'm sure Romahome could source a van to convert if you have the money. As for living in it, I've known people live in smaller vans, the R30 has everything you need but I personally wouldn't want to.

How was the winter in it? Do it keep warm enough? How, where and when do you empty the Toilet? :)
@Smallmotorhome
7 жыл бұрын
Anders Erichsen We don't live in it as I said I personally wouldn't want to live full time in any Motorhome. We do camp in the van in winter for short breaks, it is cosy and warm with the diesel heater, we use camp sites we don't wild camp, so we empty the toilet at the campsite or when we get home.

I think we have some rules in Denmark about how many can sleep in the van - getting cheaper if there can sleep 4... And looking at it, a full bed would be for 3 persons and then one on the floor on a sleeping pad and duvet I think should be possible... You think I would be stretching it to much? Looks like there are some weird rules in Denmark about these kind of autocampers - But as I understand a sleeping pad will count as acceptable for possible sleeping area for someone.... Anyway... Would be nice to be on the road and not stuck in an apartment. I don't really need that much space - less cleaning as well! :) I felt so alive being in Israel 6 weeks with only a 20 liter backpack, sleeping pad and a sleeping back - sure I also lived on hostels much of the time besides out hiking around. But I felt so alive and free.

4 people sleeping in the van would be too much in my opinion, you could have an awning for two people or a tent at the side of the van. The van has can seat 4 people travelling but only really suitable for two sleeping.

Iv read something about being room in the seats as well? How much room is there in the toilet room and the others? What are the things behind the seat? Can you stand upright without any problem in the Car? I got some more info on the R30 from them, and it says something about Solar Panels being possible from them. Sadly it's not much information... 2 pages and that's all.... I can't find any information on the weight either. Anyway I'm waiting for a reply on some more info on it. I must say I wonder why they fixed 4 gas things for cooking. That's like 4 times more then I use in my home today. 2 would have been a good number. Do you know if one took out the one seat at the door, if one could mount the table and still be able to go into the van without any issue? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to picture it all and get an overall view of it. The freedom one would get out of living in a van!!! And I see there is Room for the Bible as well :) How about kitchen stuff how much room is there for pots and pans and such? This car don't really have any clothing place beside for jackets and shoos right? Like underpants and t-shirts and socks. How much water does it hold? Do you have a filling for the toilet and the water you drink, or is it running on the same water tank? Is there any spare tire? Thanks for the video and the information - you have a good pleasant voice.

So many questions Anders, I will try to answer. The toilet and shower is quite small, just enough room to stand up in and turn around. There is a lockable storage space under the rear offside passenger seat, lots of overhead lockers all round the van and a pull out wardrobe for long clothes which has three shelves at the bottom for sock and pants etc. You can stand in the living area with no problem but not in the cab where the driving seat is. I don't know about taking seats out I've never tried it. Cupboards under the sink hold pots and pans but not a lot. There is a large fresh water tank and separate tank for flushing toilet. The spare tyre is under the van in a cradle. Here is another video of our previous van Dimension which is pretty much the same as the R30 kzitem.info/news/bejne/jquv2Geafnx-p6A

How does the tables work in it which are in the back of the car "1 or 2 tables"? Iv not seen a video of that yet. And how the seats turn around? :)
@Smallmotorhome
7 жыл бұрын
Anders Erichsen Yes there are two tables. The front seats turn around by pressing a lever, you then have driver and front passenger seat facing inwards, the two tables fit in between the two front seats and the rear passenger seats. They both have a single leg which fits into a hole in the floor.

I think I could pretty much live in it - but I'm concerned about the power issue. If one was to live in it all year round I would think the battery would drain pretty quickly if one needs to keep warm. hmm
@Smallmotorhome
7 жыл бұрын
You can of course have a solar panel to keep the leisure battery topped up and if you use it to drive round that would also charge the leisure battery. The ebespacher diesel heater is very good but it does take battery power to start it up and to keep the fan running so you would need some means of keeping the leisure battery in good condition.
