@@nitishralhan8169 no idea about contract marriages because I haven’t come across anyone who has done that. All I know is that immigration is super strict about fake marriages and they have a lot of checks and balances to make sure every file is scrutinized to see the authenticity of the relationship. Marrying someone for citizenship and later leaving them to marry someone else can lead to its own complications. If caught it can ban you from Canada forever.

Thanks for such an informational video. My husband and I have everything as you mentioned in the video except that we are not public on social media (Indian society drama) . So how much does that impact our case once we file for our PR? Also we had no ceremonies because it was court marriage. Does that affect the case too? Thanks again for so much help Finally a sensible and elaborated video Lots of love to you two 😘💞
@AisshwaryaSiingh
3 жыл бұрын
Hi Amitoj, I have been thinking about how to explain this in the best way so here goes. When you apply for a spousal sponsorship your case officer is looking at your entire application as a picture and not only at one part of the picture like court marriage. So I am quite sure court marriage doesn’t affect anyone’s application. People marry for love and in other castes and are opposed by society so that is understandable. But remember that there can’t be multiple pieces in your picture that make the whole image look suspicious. If someone gets married in court, doesn’t have parents attending and also doesn’t have a public relationship these are too many parts painting a negative picture. If society opposes your union and you can’t have a public relationship because of any threat to your well being then explain it to the case officer. My advice would be to be honest and truthful. The relationship story allows you to explain your circumstances to the case officer. The other thing you can try is share your photos on Facebook with privacy settings with people you trust and put those in your file. Wishing you all the best

Thank you for subscribing Alisha. I hope I would be able to provide you with content that entertains and informs. 1. I didn’t include a notice of assessment because when I applied for my husband’s PR I hadn’t filed my taxes in Canada. It was my first few months in Canada. I also attached the previous years Indian ITR I did attach my employment contract along with a letter of explanation saying why I haven’t filed taxes. 2. No proof for shared expenses. I lived in Canada and he lived in India so how could we share expenses. Not logical right? I did attach a few Canadian bank statements where he had sent me some money for example on my birthday 3. We printed pictures on A4 size photo paper.4 pics per page - 20 pages in total Please do remember that our application was done in 2019 and rules might have changed since then. Do your research and use your best logic :)

Does this mean that after 3-4 months of the PR, one can come back to India and get married. I mean that there is no need to spend 6 months to 1 year in Canada and the marriage step can be taken in 3-4 months of landing? Please confirm this, I'll be thankful to you.

@AisshwaryaSiingh
3 жыл бұрын
We applied in 2019 and didn’t show funds because I had a steady well paying job in Canada. Your situation can be different than us so its recommended to refer to the latest information on the CIC website about spousal sponsorship fees. If you do not have a job my advice would be to show savings which would sustain both of you in Canada for 6 months or so. The amount of money you need to support your family is set by the size of your family. To calculate the size of your family you must include: yourself your spouse or partner your dependent children and your spouse’s dependent children This includes your spouse or dependent children who are permanent residents or Canadian citizens. You will need to show proof that you have enough money when you apply to immigrate. This table shows the minimum amount you need. If you have more money, you should list the full amount in your profile or application. Number of Family Members Funds Required (in Canadian dollars) 1 $12,475 2 $15,531 3 $19,093 4 $23,181 5 $26,292 6 $29,652 7 $33,014 For each additional family member $3,361 its just a guide as there is no set amount of how much you need. So please use your best judgement and calculate accordingly

You guys must have considered pros and cons of inland and outland application. Can you please suggest which way is better?
@AisshwaryaSiingh

Thank you Vipul. Here are the answers 1. There is no criteria 2. We never considered or had an option of Inland application. We didn’t have solid grounds to prove that Gagan will go back to India if he had a visitor visa so inland option was out of the question. For us Outland worked the best. So it’s totally dependent on each couple’s situation and scenario. Thanks

20 photos and 20 pages are different things. If IRCC wants Maximum 20 photos from the applicant and we submit 80 photos by including 4 photos apiece on each page, isn't it non compliance of IRCC regulations? and if its allowed, why didn't they say Max. 20 pages in the application guide?

Hi .. this was a really nice video and the world needs more positive people like you; I have a couple of questions - (1) was your husband’s file transferred to the New Delhi visa office after your eligibility as a sponsor was approved? and, (2) how much time did it take for the spousal visa after the medical exam was done? Thanks in advance 🙏🏼

Does the sponsorship undertaking also include costs for prescription medicine for spouse? Or can that be taken care of under the province's health benefits?
@AisshwaryaSiingh
3 жыл бұрын
For the first three months of your partner being in Canada they have no health benefits from the province. Neither do you when you first land. Health benefits only begin after three months of you being in a province. When a permanent resident first comes in they purchase a health insurance lasting first three months and can bring their prescription medicine from their own country (along with a proper prescription to show for at customs) You then find a doctor in Canada and they will re-examine you and prescribe you medicines. In BC medicines are very expensive and Pharma care doesn’t cover much. One can always explore a personal health benefits plan. So to answer your question. You take care of the medicine till the spouse gets their health benefits after 3 months and stay ready to pay from your pocket as medicines don’t have much coverage especially in BC.

I want to understand that if I am the sponsored person in my marriage with a work permit, over time, is there a possibility for me to be able to sponsor my family members such as my parents? I’ve not found clarity on this yet, do help me understand this bit better if you know about it.

If you are in Canada better to apply from here. Get in touch with a qualified immigration consultant and do the process. If you are not confident about doing your paperwork yourself, it's always advisable to let the experts handle it.

It was such a lovely story that you guys shared. Thank you for that. I am planning to come to Canada and get married to my gf, who is a Canadian PR. Should I apply from within Canada or should I apply from India? Because currently, I am working in India and would like to work in India itself until my PR is approved. But would that mean that I have to wait longer if I applied from outside than from within Canada ?

Thank you for your kind comments. Due to Canadian government's support for reuniting families, in the past the outland application was usually processed through the visa office faster than inland sponsorship. However due to recent changes by the Canadian government the outland and inland sponsorship now has the same processing time. So totally up to what you prefer.

Thanku so much for the video dear. It is really helping a lot. Actually i just wanted to ask what should be done for the passport adress updation as this takes a long time . Firstly my spouse adress has to be updated then mine then again my passport ll go for Pcc. So this ll take a lot of time and my spouse has to leave after a month. So should i go ahead with the process this way only. Or no adress and no surname addition would be fine. ?

Hi thanks so much for the helpful tips. I will be soon getting married to my fiance (who is in Fiji) and sponsoring him to Canada. We met online during Covid so it is difficult in our case to provide photos of our relationship. The only photos we will be able to provide as proof are when we get married in Fiji, but I'm afraid immigration might need more to support our case. Both of us have saved our call logs, whatsapp chats, etc. Wondering if you have any suggestions regarding photographs and other tips you have for couples in long distance relationships. Thank you

Online relationships are tougher to prove so use the love story to your full advantage. Show that your relationship is public on social media. Make sure your family and friends are present and visible in the wedding photos you add in your file. Go for your honeymoon- add those photos. Plus the screenshots of conversations online would help too.
