This is being told to us with much more detail than was previously told. Complaining whenever Sammy retells a story doesn't make sense to me, because these incidents from his life have intricate details, and they deserve to be revisited from time to time. Sammy has really come into his own as a story teller. Brilliant content! & a very apt title...John’s vanity (ego) was his downfall. Gotti knew the legal jeopardy his order put Sammy in but he did it anyway. Possibly because Gotti’s fragile ego was threatened by Sammy’s power (even though he gave it to him & Sammy served at Gotti’s behest). Or, possibly, threatened by the cumulative respect Sammy had cultivated among Cosa Nostra luminaries like Spero??

He’s speaking about Joey Cigars who ran the private sanitation trucks in nyc. In 2002 I was locked up with him in Sullivan Correctional Facility. Also at this small maximum security prison was David “Son of Sam” Berkowitz, Authur Shawcroft, Larry Davis and other notorious criminals. Joey Cigars was always a nice and pleasant man. I started smoking cigars because of him. We had about 15 different catalogs for Cigar vendors who would ship some great Cigars to the prison. I don’t know if he’s still alive because this was 20 years ago and Joe was probably 65 back then but he was a Stand up Man and a gentleman to all races at the jail

I noticed something he said in this video about his "driver/bodyguard" how he made sure to tell his audience that he "didnt know about the Chin hit" ... it made me wonder if the guy was still alive to refute his claim. I honestly dont believe for a second that they were going to take out Chin. You cant just go around whacking out bosses at will. just like in The Godfather "all the other families would have lined up against them." I dont believe that line for a second. Sammys storys entertain me but hes clearly a sociopath who most likely believes his own lies at this point, hes been telling them for so long. Im not hatin, ill still watch his content. Just stating my opinion. Cheers.

@@GG-vc9mx He's not a pathological liar per se, the bulk of his stories can actually be verified through FBI tapes/photos/arrests/books/newspaper articles etc, it's the little/personal details that just can't be verified. All thing's considered though IMO I'm doubtful he's bullshitting about *most* of what he says, he's not a Johnny Alite type and literally doesn't even need to spin yarn-I mean his life alone is enough to simply bring in the big bucks until he gets too old/passes away (if that's his only goal which idt it is cause he doesn't 'need' money), he could do nothing but tell stories about the old neighborhood and what it was like (i.e. non Mafia related stories) and we'd still come and watch.

Some content gets repeated because I think when Sammy first started this it was just videos with random Sammy stories..it took off quickly becoming successful and I'm speculating at some point decision was made to organize everything into a podcast episode story line...which is more beneficial commercially, professionally and otherwise just made sense. If you were reading Sammy's book, watching or listening to his content prior to that you will undoubtedly hear material he has previously shared
