Michael Chapdelaine the greatest guitarist, I am deeply sorry to hear about .. , May you find peace and tranquility in heaven. I regret not having the opportunity to listen your performance in person. We will always remember you !

What I enjoy about your playing is that it is so musical: the phrasing of your popular songs is every bit as insightful as your classical pieces; perhaps even more so because you recreate the vocal inflections in your popular phrasing. The way you separate the melody from the accompaniment in terms of volume and even rhythm is superb. Your playing goes way beyond technique alone - yes you can play the notes, and play the notes like a master. But it is what those notes say in your hands that makes your playing stand out. You simply bring the best out of whatever instrument you are playing. Whether it is a piece from the classical repertoire or a an arrangement of a popular song you bring a masterful touch, a sincere heart, and a creative mind. Thank you Michael!

Disney songs are quite technical for being made for "kids" movies. This is beautiful and from one of my favorite movies, Cars, which reminds me of my young son.

Hey Michael, I know you appreciate the nicer songs out there so wanted to ask you if you'd consider covering "7 years" by Lukas Graham. I remember you covered Take me to Church and I feel this song is of the same calibre. I'd really really enjoy your rendition of it! Cheers

thanks bgBlitz! This one took a very long time, for several reasons. I wanted to make the melody sound like James Taylor sings. He does all those beautiful Appalachia meets disco moves. That was hard. It was like being a teen again, sitting in front of the record player learning ZZ Top licks. Then, I needed to try to imitate the guitar and piano accompaniment....etc. It was about 4 months. I learned a lot, and got better. Very grateful to Taylor and Randy Newman.
