I'm so glad it helped you! Hopefully KZitem will continue to show this video to those who need help. There is something else that can make a big difference. Windows has a "Disk Cleanup" utility that will clear out the useless temporary files, but better yet, it can also removed the left-over files from previous Windows updates. They are unnecessary and it might be able to free up another 1-40GB of space. Follow the instructions in my other video here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/xId73Wijhah6pnY Cheers! -- Jason

@@JasonBagnell Thank you, you have fantastic communication skills and you are very friendly on screen and that is very welcoming for the Viewer. And you make it easy to navigate the complex Mind of the PC.....I also Disabled "Windows update Properties" to prevent The C Drive from filling up...Was that a good idea as well?

Disabling the "Windows Update" service keeps the PC from automatically receiving Windows Updates. I don't think that it is a good idea to disable it unless the PC is not connected to the Internet. Hackers often figure out new ways to bypass and break through some of the core functionality of the Windows operating system. Once these exploits are discovered, Microsoft will push out new Windows software updates (through Windows Updates) to correct these "zero-day exploits". If you disable the Windows Update functionality, you will be at greater risk of becoming victim to those zero day exploits. Yes, it will keep new updates from taking up room on the hard drive, but some updates are really important to keep you safe in today's hacker-filled world. You can periodically run the Windows "Disk Cleanup" utility mentioned above to remove any excessive files related to Windows Update left-overs.
