This guy's the first person ever to give a complete detailed list of the signals, all the mech's and locations including the ID numbers. Well done mate.

That property off Spraker Street is listed on Genesee and Wyoming’s website as a potential industrial development candidate. Hope springs eternal that somebody could move in and revive rail service.

I would absolutely love to see that happen! There is so much that could be put to use.

Thank you! I did get the rest of the crossings. I'm just gonna make a separate video since Kokomo Grain owns the rest of the crossings along the line.

@@gmftrainvideos @ 8|00 what line was the east/west where the tracks crossed each other?

@@gmftrainvideos hey man, me and my son went hiking the other day on the wildcat off dixon and markland but they have the old Haynes bridge that crosses the wildcat right there. Cool video would be that old line and the old one through the old steel mill. Got that old bridge in highland park right near the parks department. The bridge for Haynes you have to hike through a little creek and up a small hill to get on top.

@@chaosdemonwolf1 The Central Railroad of Indianapolis owns it. Rails are cut east and west of this location so it's not used anymore. It was the Nickel Plate Cloverleaf Division.

@@Letsgoexplore2468 I think I got both those bridges on video from about a year and a half ago. The one in Hyland Park was hard for me to find at first. The one over the Wildcat I actually hiked the old railbed behind the jail and across Markland where the bridge used to be. It was when all the vegetation was dead but it was still tough to cut through.

How many trains a day went through Kokomo in its heyday
@chaosdemonwolf1
5 жыл бұрын
Research says around 5 to 7 per day, possibly more but don't quote me on that, lol. I think they should keep em all cause ya never know when they may be pressed into service again. If that happens then they'd have to re-do everything they tore out.
@AmtrakTBL

There was probably more than that with all these railroads and tracks
@gmftrainvideos

@@AmtrakTBL Yeah I would probably say that amount or more for each railroad line through town depending on the day. I'm not entirely sure though.

chaosdemonwolf1 they won’t use the current train tracks, a lot of these train tracks run directly behind houses, if they ever do use trains for cargo and passenger delivery to Kokomo they’ll more than likely be implementing new tracks that work with the current layout of the city
