hey, buddy. what's up? i have been following you for a month or so and I fell in love with your indie content; just like someone else had said, we needed someone as good as you for that, so thanks, you are awesome! im a random Brazilian guy who worked for years with languages and I have noticed how hard it is for games to provide Portuguese audio or simply subtitles. That's why I thought of giving these small guys a help. I mean, I have never done that before, but with my work background I can assure I'd do a good job and help them get a wider audience. Brazil has over 80 million gamers, and one of the biggest complaints they have here is that games are always in English. Considering that less than 5% of the population speaks it fluently, having at least a Portuguese subtitle would make it much more appealing. NOW, if you have any contacts with game developers who would benefit from that, tell them about me. I'm willing to do it for free as I want to gain experience with that first, so if you could help me help them, that would be awesome.

The idea of repairing damage is cool because it soft gates the player. Giving them something to think about with do they take on a new ship or pass due to the lack of res you have to fix the ship. Balancing time and effort into it rather then click click, done. So I get why that loop is really good to have. How ever I also like the idea of towing in games like this. Being able to still keep your old ship and either dock it for later use or to sell it.

I'm glad they removed the timer or oxygen limit or what it was in the last alpha for away missons. Aside from those away missions and some crew management, the rest seems to be pretty much like it was in the predecessor, including finding new ships and kinda repair them. So that feature was in the game way before No Man's Sky existed. Btw. the telescope was usually among the first things I dismantled to get more space in the beginning. ;-) Using the ships you find simply as storage location has also been proven to be a good strategy. Also if I remember correctly the Death Ray was only kind of a quest item to get to a specific ending, like the counter part of another item called Life Seed or so. I hope there are new endings now too. I've got Out There Oceans of Time 2 on my wish list for years now, chances are pretty high, that I'll get it soon.

It's pretty rare that games don't have multiple save slots these days, but if you want to access a game's saves if they're not in the game install directory they'll always be either in your Windows .../documents/[publisher or game]/ folder or under one of the hidden c:\Users\[username]\AppData\ subfolders (usually \local\ ). It's often as simple as just making a copy of the save folder, which can also be used to manually save a game with only autosave.

So basically, it's Out There updated with a graphical overhaul. Seems cool. Regarding the galactic sight seeing comment... I mean... If I had a spaceship that was FTL capable, you damn well bet you that aside from opting for a procedure to be a ship mind (circa the novel To Sleep in a Sea of Stars), I'd be flying that ship around the galaxy for just that.. sight seeing. Maybe that helps others to colonize and establish civilizations on other worlds maybe not, I'd be more invested in the discovery aspect of things than anything else.
