Awesome vid! Definitely going to check out slow GNB. Quick question, if you open lightning shot, do you still pot first after the shot and then bloodfest/no mercy the keen edge or do you lightning shot, then keen edge pot, then brutal shell into bloodfest/no mercy? Keep up the great work!
@aylaveen

I would do the second one, as it will only delay everything by 1 gcd but you have the same rotation, but if you do the first one you might have a different rotation as a whole. But if you're a seasoned gnb and knows what to do on certain weird situations, both would be viable.

I just get started to learn about GNB and during my practice i feel uncomfortable that GF, DD scales with the skill speed but NW doesn't which result in drifting. I'm gonna give this a try.

as long as u prioritize to get GF & DD inside NM, you're good to go! only do GF on cooldown outside NM :D

@@aylaveen sorry to bug ya but I have a question, I just did a normal raid to practice the rotation and got p7. what do you do in situations where you get a forced 1 gcd downtime? i ended up having to delay a non 3 or 9 min NM window by 1 gcd to keep everything lined up but still had to delay the 3 min window. is this correct or am i missing something?
@aylaveen
Жыл бұрын
@@slimfastsubaru2043 usually if u had downtime the 3 min /9 min nm delay will move by another minute. In case of P7S, usually you will end up needing to delay at the second multicast (groupstack with wind exaflares) because of the first arena change

Excellent guide, but I was wondering what the advantage of DH meld over CH meld is? More consistency in damage range? All the resources I see recommend CH over DH. Just curious about the reasoning behind the decision.
@aylaveen
Жыл бұрын
CH is always priority for most classes. DH /DET is more of a filler when you can't fill more CH in (every gear has a substat cap)
@krom9126

CRIT tiering scales both crit rate and crit damage which results in a continuously increasing relative gain per point, whereas DH/DET have diminishing returns over time since they are linearly scaling functions. Linear diminishing returns as an example would be: If you hit a target for 100 damage, receiving a 100% damage buff would bring that base hit to 200, for a relative gain of 100%. If you add into that 100% buff to make it be a 200% buff, the absolute gain is another 100% to the damage multiplier. However, the relative gain is only 50% because you go from 200 damage to 300 damage, which is only a 50% increase from where you already were buffed to. Because CRIT is the product of two linear functions (rate and damage) that both increase by the same amount, it grants a quadratic increase per tier, so the relative gain per point increases instead of diminishing like linear functions. It also tiers more efficiently than any other stat to the point that you would still stack into it with melds even if it didn't scale quadratically. This makes CRIT always outscale other stats, so you always meld as much of it as you can without overcapping the gear on CRIT first. After that, you continue to DH or DET. DH and DET are both linearly scaling functions that tier with nearly equal efficiency. Since they have near-equal efficiency, equalizing those stats (leaning slightly into DH overall) causes your total damage value to increase more than just additively stacking into only one of them, because they will multiply together instead without sacrificing potential tiering gains via efficiency. Remember, increasing the 100% buff to 200% in our example granted less relative gain than going from 0% to 100%. While the absolute gain is still another 100%, if it can be spent on something else equally efficient that would act multiplicatively, then it will generate more total damage. Since tank gear has DET but never DH, melding DH will always grant more damage. As an example using multipliers to simulate both stats, 1.10 x 1.00 is less than 1.049 x 1.05. If you can increase the lower multiplier (1.00 to 1.05) instead without wasting much, the end product is higher. This is also the reason we don't typically meld TEN. It takes too much TEN to make using it worth it, since you'd end up with something like 1.05 x 1.037 if you chose to stack into DET and TEN equally instead of just solely DET for 1.10 x 1.00 like the last example. It's just not an efficient stat and costs more than others to get the same absolute gain out of it per tier, which makes its relative gain per point always lower than your alternatives. Finally you just check the set and see if you can replace any existing melds with others to improve the stat tiering on the set. If the set has 10 points of DET waste, and 3 points of wasted DH, melding one DET in place of a DH may recoup enough of those 13 total wasted points that the DET meld is stronger than the DH meld, since it's absolute value is the meld + the recouped points when it reduces stat waste.

During snake one for p8s, is there a trick to keep your rotation rolling without being caught by the snakes? For part 2, for limitless, say if you get a tower that just outside of melee range would lighting shot to keep your gcd rolling or try something to get within max melee range?
@aylaveen
Жыл бұрын
if u need to gaze the snake, it's usually just snapshot timing (takes time to get comfy and not lose a gcd), but if it's puddle it's usually just pre-position to dodge the second snake gaze. there's no real way if u get that one tower outside max melee during limitless desolation, what i did is usually just snapshot the timing and take the tower just after landing that one gcd
@MasterGaming234

@Aylaveen ah, I see, so just get snap shot down in order to keep it rolling.For hc1 and two, where do you have your gauge since it's a pretty long down time mechanic?

@@MasterGaming234 usually for HC1 you can still have full cartridge no problem or sometimes u miss 1 gcd, if that happens u can just do the 123 -> No Mercy reopener to have full cartridge + Bloodfest for the HC2, usually on the last burst window at the Natural Alignment 2, I don't use the last burst strike so i can have full 3 cartridges going into HC2. Then, as soon as targetable, i burst as usual, make sure to have 1 cartrdige before ego death finished, then reopen with gnashing fang on the last reopener.
