I assume it wouldn't be entirely alone if its being discussed with the US so we'd likely get a nice penny from them or some help from another nation with interest in the region in doing so. Touché, the war actually had its origins in 1973, when Daoud Khan overthrew King Zahir Shah, soured relations with the PDPA and Pakistan, causing the communist coup in 1978, leading to 42 years of war. I believe that none of this would have happened if Zahir Shah was not deposed in 1973. The graveyard of empires adds two more to that list

@@TheGilliams I understand, although context does help to improve understanding of the war, and how the seeds were sown for endless war during the '70s. It is ironic that some of the organisations that received US funding during the 1980s, ended up fighting the US after 2001, there are many parallels between the Soviet and US invasion of Afghanistan, however, between 1979 and 1989, 500,000 - 2,000,000 civillians died, whilst since 2001, almost 40,000 civillians have died. Were you planning to make a full war in Afghanistan video if the Taliban peace deal had actually been successful? The current war is now one of attrition as the US controls more than the Soviets ever could, with time. the US could pull through.

@@Haris-qo1hx The spillover effects are still being seen in Pakistan. The Taliban that are in Pakistan are not the same as the ones in Afghanistan. Pakistan’s economy was crippled and thousands of Pakistani lives were lost as a result. Overall they came out losing more than they would have gained if they didn’t support the Taliban. Its quite a catch 22 situation. USA and Pakistan trained and supported radical Islamist groups in Afghanistan against communists (and and don't say it a lot but communists are far better). I like how it shows ( 2:30 ) that the Taliban began by capturing territory controlled by American backed Mujahedeen. This shows that America is not fighting the people it armed rather they are fighting the people who defeated their C.I.A. assets. Also during the 2:54 Afghan Civil War (1996-2001) part it shows how those defeated groups united to form the Northern Alliance in a last ditch effort to defeat the Taliban. Nice job!!

Medieval islamic law is not enough to create for example a health care system. And without this, the region may get an epidemic of plague, smallpox or cholera. Also, people will constantly look at the fact that people live better in neighboring countries.

@@victorv7654 if islamic law is correctly enforced it would be one of the best nations to live in even if there ain't much money, and actually Islamic law already did mention something about pandemics that one does not go to the plagued area or leave it if he is in it already, and in the end we can not disobey these laws cause it is a matter of religion and we have no choice wether we want it or not cause each Muslim must abide by it even if it's not enforced.
