Oh, what a hike! What a day! I know you were really “done in” from the day before, but I really appreciate you taking me up to see the beautiful fall colors. I feel really fortunate to have you to take me on so many adventures in the mountains. Thank you so much!! Love you!!

Barb I live in Castle Rock, I'm 61 and have two grown children I live with. We have just started in the last couple years going on our own adventuress hiking. This spring we hope to try some overnight backpacking adventures. What advice do you have for us and where did you get those nachos?

Tomorrow is our last day in RMNP, it should snow tomorrow afternoon, we hope to give this one a try in the morning! No fall colors, but looks amazing! A big thank you to you doing this channel! We found you a month ago when we were prepping for this trip- your videos are the most informative and entertaining! We say “Good Morning” to each other as we get started and “peace” as we leave! Thank you again!

Thanks for watching the vids! I was just in Wild Basin last weekend (next video) and you will have to park at the Winter Parking area about 1 mile away from the Wild Basin TH. The road walk is easy but adds some distance.

Most wonderful! The yellow and other colors came through nicely! Now RMNP is up to the top of my gotta hike there list! The Moose was amazing - looks like you were pretty close with great clear views of him - and the elk... and the other critters! 👍👍👍

Thank you! We were on that bridge in front of Calypso Cascades when we saw the moose so we had a really good (and safe) vantage point. We just got really lucky and timed it perfectly. 5 minutes later and we might have met him on the trail!

@@nicksangetta8874 so cool! We had to step off the trail once at Glacier NP when we heard a sound like thunder - about 5 Ewe and a couple Lamb Bighorn sheep were running down the trail! Very exciting!

Your footage of the moose and the elks is extraordinary, The moose crossing that creek, the details, everything is amazing. Those trails look magical with all those fantastic yellow tones in the trees. The scenery is formidably, one of the best footage I have seen so far. Perfect video of a gorgeous hike. Thank you for showing it, sharing with us

Whats funny though is if an animal comes up to me I will probably reach for the camera and not the Cold Steal Taiwan. Id be much happier filming something cool than stabbing it.

Im trying like heck to get caught up. I still got some big ones left from 2019. But I only have about 8 more to do. The end is in sight! Thanks for watching.

Awesome hike, awesome footage especially of the moose... The colors are beautiful (even though we may not get the full effect of them). This one is on our list of "hikes to do" whenever we get back to the Rockies. Thanks for posting! Your #1 Tennessee Fans, T & S

Definitely a favorite!! I know exactly where you were when those elk were on the road at the beginning--right next to St. Catherine's Chapel on the Rock! I am so doing this hike in the fall, I even made notes to go around the same time of the year if possible so that hopefully I can be amongst those aspens at just the right time. Also, at 16:40 that was funny..."What!?...WHAT!?" and yes please don't cut your neck because I haven't found anyone else I enjoy watching hike lol. Thanks so much for this one, absolutely gorgeous!!

Have you ever encountered a bear on your hikes? I am a bit worried now that we are going to do this trail in two days!
@nicksangetta8874
Жыл бұрын
Ive encountered bears a handful of times, but you shoud not have anything to worry about in the Wild Basin area. There are enough people there that bears should not be a problem.. now if you go down into the Indian Peaks Wilderness to the south you are more likely to see one.

@@nicksangetta8874 thanks for your reply. We did the hike yesterday and enjoyed it. No bears :) Just saw some ground squirrels and a gorgeous Stellar Jay to make our day. On the way to the trailhead we saw two elk, one of each side of the road and earlier we had see one in someone's yard. Did not hear any bugling though.

are the elk scared of humans?

I dont think they are too scared. I think the elk in these areas are more used to people than the ones outside the park.
