I have a YUKA as well as a LUBA2, both from Mammotion. Yes, they have sent me both for reviewing on my German Channel Andy's Garage😆 I also have the sweeper which does a great job but it's a bit tricky with small pathways and also setting up the dump zones. The dump zones are HUGE and you need a lot of them for a bigger yard. They cannot be part of a zone or too close together. So, I found it really difficult and even impossible to find so many spots which are not part of a zone. With the sweeper installed, the YUKA knows it has a bag at the back and often refuses to go through some narrow areas where it went through without problems without the bag. You will see this with your path through the gate. It then re-routes around the house to find another path which leads to a huge energy consumption due to these extra detours. Recharging from 15-80% takes now over 2h with both batteries installed and with driving all these detours the mower can take hours to finish one zone which it did in under 1h without the sweeper kit for example. So, I'm not convinced on the practical benefits of the sweeper. It may work better in your yard as it is more open than mine. We have a lot of trees and garden beds with narrow paths in between which the YUKA has problems with when the sweeper ins installed. I would not recommend mowing at night with the YUKA. It can't see at all and is only dependent on the bumper switch to avoid obstacles. If you have small animals out at night, it could end in a disaster!!! Even during daytime, I come out frequently to check the area where it mows to make sure, there are no animals. Smaller objects will NOT be recognised by the mower. I tested tennis balls with different colours and it's hit and miss if it detects them or not. It gets better over time with more updates, but Mammotion is a long shot away from being reliable with obstacle recognition. Some other mowers using AI for that purpose which seems to be far more reliable. Tip: to get started with higher grass, do the chess-pattern and mow slowly. Exactly as you said👍

So the day has finally come that you can sit back and relax while robots do your work for you. Now when the wife wants to remind you how many items are on your honey-do list, you can reply, 'Honey, I'm mowing the grass right now' 😉

I purchased my Luba (Yuka's big brother) in March 2024 and been using it ever since. Love it! Maybe too much as I find myself talking to it like a pet. I even gave him a name, "Zip" But, it is both a game changer and life saver for me. At almost 70 yo, mowing my lawn in 100 plus degrees is impossible and lawn service is not practical at the cost of fuel. I have been watching the reviews of the Yuka. I might consider getting Zip a baby brother to help with the lawn next year. Thanks for the review and hope you are impressed by it.

Glad y’all are safe from the storm! Thanks for sharing! I like the concept of the robotic mowers, I’m just not sure that it will work in my lawn. I’ve got lots of debris and ruts in the lawn, plus hills and animals. Chickens and ducks can be stupid… my luck the mower would end up going in circles trying to get away from the animals that keep moving in the path of the mower.

I freaking love ❤️ it! My mom is getting older and can't get out in the Florida sun to mow her lawn anymore this would save money 🤑 and save time (not have to grip to get guy to mow it and she's EXTREMELY picky about how it's done).

First off, glad you didnt get any damage to your house during the storm! The worst of it was in Benson. Over 200k people were out. It was rough. I had a gut feeling someone was going to try to steal it, it's Omaha, and depending on the neighborhood, not surprised.

Joe - You have a great wife ( she lets you have man toys! LOL ) I was wondering about thieves when this video started and you had one already, I have some Tile Trackers on my vehicles, rider mower and tow trailer and they do work and are cheap (about $20) and the coin battery in Tile devices last up to 1 year. A Pro you mentioned I agree, I've seen some robot mowers before and yours is very quiet compared to the ones i've seen mowing and you are right it does take several mowings to get a nice smooth looking lawn.

@jackcoats4146 I Love that! Our journey very was similar. First thing I did at that time was change all the light bulbs to cfl. It was cheap amd led wasnt really a thing yet. Just that helped a ton! I also started with a fairly big 12v system. We didnt really do much for the range. I guess we could have gotten induction but didnt. It is so much fun to mess around with and see what you can power!🤘

Follow it around and add scoops of dirt in depressions causing stuck robot. Then you don't have to rescue it when you have better things to do like work off the bill for the pac-man-mower.
