Wow, thank you for sharing Maria. ❤ It is somewhat intimidating to watch a string of "super women" like that and I can't measure up to that at all. 😔 I am 59 years though (so definitely over 40) and have started to post motivational shorts (1-minute videos) for other moms who are in danger of hitting a "burnout". Been there. Done that. I even had cancer but I am completely healed now. 👍🏻 It has motivated me though to encourage other moms to allow themselves a break if they need it!! Too many of us work flat out and exhaust ourselves thinking that there is no time to take a break or have a "quiet time". 🤪 If you would like to see one of my videos, please feel free to look me up under "Ponder with Sue" or simply follow this link - www.youtube.com/@ponderwithSue - I would love it if you would leave me a comment. That would be an honour for me, especially since I am only starting up now and a bit of encouragement would be so welcome! 😜😍 I hope you have a peaceful day today! 👩🏼💻💕

The notion of a flawless marriage or relationship is a myth. There's no set formula for success; what works for one couple may not work for another. Yet, I've discovered that there's always a way forward, even in the most challenging times. Five years ago, my wife and I encountered significant hurdles in our marriage that nearly led to divorce. Despite the adversity, we managed to weather the storm and emerge from it with our bond renewed and revitalised

I turned 47 the day this video dropped, and I can totally relate to wanting to see women my age and older. I'm watching quilting content (I sew, but don't quilt) just because I like seeing this older woman talk about how she makes quilts. One ASMR channel that I like of a woman over 40 is Mid Mod Meridian. She has a really soothing voice and does retro videos set in the 1950s and 60s. She really likes your content, and shouts you out a lot. I love that you're embracing this, it feels very powerful and affirming to seek out older women for wisdom.

Exact same thing here! My son (only child) just turned 10 today and so it's time for ME now! My passions, doing what's meaningful, taking care of my animals and allowing my son to grow but more independently. I'm so happy to be free from child rearing years (30s) and school (all the way to mid 20s) and now I can live for myself. Also, for beauty I keep it simple. No botox just exercise. Makeup is a touch of foundation and eyebrow liner that's it. I don't really care either. If you're thin, all clothes look good lol

That's why so many young women are terrified of aging these days, because we see how society treats older women. It's like once you lose your youth and/or beauty, you're casted out like some kind of bubonic plague person. I was actually thinking about this earlier today about how men hate unmarried cat ladies. Speaks volumes to what they expect our purpose to be - only for them and kids apparently. We cant be sovereign beings just living our lives and liking cats, it has to be made into a shameful thing. Maybe some women prefer cats over men and kids, like wow, what a shocker, how sad for them..please...eye roll.

These men are living in a "revenge" fantasy. I mean think about it, they are making content on youtube about a demographic that most likely actually won't see their videos unless specifically searching. It's content for angry men to consume to fuel that revenge fantasy. It's the idea that "these women rejected me 20 years ago, and now they are struggling so HA HA". Note that is they are perceiving women are struggling, it doesn't actually mean they are. These are men who have either been divorced, are extremely young or ignorant, or never managed to find a partner. The thing they have in common is that they are all angry at women. They really don't see woman as people and think that beauty and youth is the only thing that matters in a woman. The truth is most women can find a partner at any age lol, I have seen PLENTY of women post age 50 who have gone on to find new love and get married.

I agree with you 100%! I'm very nearing that big 4-0 milestone as well and I completely understand what you are saying. It is so hard at this age to find other similarly aged women who have the time outside of their families/work/lives to find friendship. Even harder to find ones with similar interests and mindsets! I love your gardening and home deco videos and in many ways you have provided me with a one-sided friendship over these mutual interests. I feel bad saying this as I have been a silent supporter for so long as I've been too shy to comment, but I guess today might as well be the day since we aren't getting any younger!😅I really appreciate the calm, mindful, soothing videos you have worked so hard to create for us. I have been following you since my 20s and you inspired me to give a try with ASMR videos as well in my attempt to pay it forward. You're so right. I'm 43 and I don't usually find representation unless it's about fitness and aging powerfully. Also The Minimalist Mom for obvious reasons! She's helped me let go of a bunch of stuff and we Mirror clean together often.

Hi Maria! If you’re interested in learning more about menopause/perimenopause there’s a non-profit called Let’s Talk Menopause. They’re a great org that promotes awareness and provides educational materials around menopause and aging. They’ve also got a podcast called Hello Menopause (season 2 is hosted by Stacy London). The podcast features women over 40, many of whom are also menopause activists, sharing their menopause stories. Even though you’re not a fan of long podcasts, it’s still a great way to find new people to follow in that space. I learned so much about my body from this podcast that no one ever taught me. I highly highly recommend!

Absolutely agree with you Maria I am 32 but as I entered my 30s I found it difficult with where I am supposed to fit in. The internet is so oversaturated with the younger generation that it can be quite difficult to find women to relate to. I really appreciate this video 🥰 thank you!

i feel so much ,you and i would have been such great friends. i've watch a lot of your rants and talks and bts stuff, and all your sassy stuff 😄 💗 and you are really such a woman i align with. i am all the way over in Scandinavia, so we won't meet... but i appreciate " knowing you " through your channel. i really love watching women thriving and all their ideas and how they live. i myself am 33, and so i do find it harder and harder to find youtubers i relate to. thanks for the recommendations 💗

I'm in my 40's. One channel I've been watching (it's makeup mostly - trying new stuff, products she likes) is Glitzy Fritzy. I like how Mary is kind of funny sometimes. I also like her end message "if you're not having a blessed day, go out and be a blessing to others" Another one I want to shout out... she's not over 40, she's in her 30's (I'm not sure how old) is Draskia. She used to do a lot of gaming and art (still does on her twitch), but on youtube and instagram (probably others too), Maggie has been posting a lot of positive mental health content, mostly shorts but some longer videos as well. Mental health check-ins, how to love yourself, positive mindset and stuff like that.

Thank you so much for making this video, Maria! I can’t wait to dive into it. I have also done the same search as you and found the same horrifying results. A bunch of insecure men ranting about women. Yikes! Edited to add: I love Jennifer Myers channel, she is in her early 40s and talks a lot about nutrition, skincare, mental health and well-being.

Mary Ellen After 60 is great. She’s actually over 70 now. I love how she always tells you how long it took her to use something up. She tracks her purchase so if you’re a person that likes to the know the value of what you buy she’s definitely one to follow. She was a former nurse shares skincare routines. She hasn’t had any plastic surgeries so it’s nice to see what the products she uses is actually doing for her. She also purchases everything herself and doesn’t do sponsorships. And recommends other ladies in the over 40 range which is nice.

Omg I love Esther she really helped my marriage when we were going through a difficult time. Some women are having kids in their 40's , I would'nt be worrying about menopause yet you have plenty of time to be in it!
