He said he was discriminated when he was young because people saying "He's Tisoy" (Tisoy means Half Filipino and Half foreigner, Tisoy = the skin is color white / Mestizo). He said "I ain't Tisoy, I'm Pinoy!" The song shows how proud he is as a Filipino. His father is a pure Filipino while his mother is a foreigner. His Father was also a part of a rockband here in the PH long before. The Beat is kinda sounds like Spanish because the song is Cariñosa (a Philippine dance introduced to the Philippines by the Spaniards during their colonization before). He used the sounds/music of this Philippine dance and incorporate it with rap/upbeat 16

He mentioned, he felt discriminated on since he was a child (in the Philippines), then he said in Filipino/Tagalog: *"puti-puti mo" direct translation to English is "you are very white". Puti is Filipino/Tagalog of White. *Tisoy is short for "Mestizo" or half-breed (Filipino + Foreign parents/grand-parents, etc). *Pinoy is short for "Filipino". So, Ez Mil said "I aint "Tisoy, I am Pinoy!!! ""

@@bvv615 I had already emphasized that and I’m not going back and forth and argue here. It’s “cariñosa” not karinyosa. The word again originated and is influenced by the Spaniards during their time in the country that is why the sound is very similar to Latino/Spanish music. One research will answer that for you. Now I’m not saying you are wrong, you are definitely right you can use the word “karinyosa” but that’s only a translation in Tagalog (not original) and it’s not largely recognized.

"Tisoy" is a combination of words "Mestizo" and "Pinoy" together, they are the Half Filipino/Half White people who has white skins, it's not actually a rude thing, others actually appreciates it if they are called "tisoy" cause as we all know beauty standards in the Philippines is that when you have white and fair skin, then you are automatically beautiful, but with EzMil he used it in a context of being Patriotic on being a Filipino.

"Hey I've been in Spain but the letter "S" is silent...take out letter s in spain and you'll have the word pain remaining". It was taken from our history since Philippines was once under a Spanish rule for almost 4 hundred years where we've became slaves in our own land with much sufferings and how we sacrificed with counless blood and lives of our people to regain back our dignity and independence. This song is a call for nationalism for every Filipinos since it's gradually fading now-a-days specially the millenials.

I dont know if i just dont understand rap, but i dont think it has anything to do with the Spain colonizing Philippines. He just put that Spain and pain as a pun. He's in pain because he was being discriminated.

The way you reacted to Ez Mil's song make me feel proud for being a Filipino. Maybe others felt that too. Like you Ma'am Sofie, I do also focus on lyrics. Together with music, it brings out the real message of the song. I am pretty sure that you liked it already when you heard it the first time but how much more if you understood the entire lyrics?🤔 It really burns!🔥 The filipino term "Panalo" means "WINNER". . . That's why he delivered it with strong presence of pride and courage😇 Anyway, I have seen more than 5 reactions in Ez Mil's "Panalo" and I liked your authentic reactions and comments the most! Hoping for you to get more and more and more subs to come!😊

ONE OF THE BEST REACTION VIDEO I EVER SEEN ... ❣❣❣ 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 This song is talking about the Pride of Philippines. Telling how Philippines overcome and won the freedom of the country from being colonized and how Filipinos bring Pride to its country and a sort of telling how he deal discrimination regards on his own experience. EZ MIL is a half American/ Pinoy . But despite of that He is Proud to say that He is PINOY! His performance is really burn🔥 . He used 3 languanges (English, Tagalog and a native dialect Ilokano) the sound is a Trap Music of Cariñosa ( folk dance of the Phil) . And PANALO means Victory/Win MGA KABABAYAN means (fellowmen/country) Tisoy means White (skin color) Thank you! 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

Actually saying tisoy is not discrimination, it's, a word that also defined that you are handsome, or half, he considered it discrimination because he don't want filipino to call him tisoy because he is FILIPINO!
@_Pixelated
3 жыл бұрын
I think he defines "tisoy" as "foreigner" or "mixed-blood" since that actually is the original definition. I also think that he is saying it as discrimination maybe because he gets insulted by labeling him as a foreigner and not as a Filipino. It's only my opinion though.
@HumanSagaVault

yes thats true, "Tisoy" is a word combination of "Mestizo" and "Pinoy" which usually means that you are a Filipino-Spanish decent, and you have white/fair skin, so yeah, Filipinos actually like it when they are called Tisoy cause it means you are fair,white and handsome because of being mixed race.
@cyruscain6551

Personally it depends on wheree you at if you are in the Philippines being a tisoy is not that bad actually especially if you are mixed with a caucasian rather than an african american to be honest w/c received most of the discrimination.
