Today is the one year anniversary of losing my mom. Was feeling horrible and very depressed. This video got me in my studio! I only swatched some color mixes, but at least i was moving paint around. Thank you! And Don is out of all his bandages!

Oh, I’m so sorry. That’s so hard! I’m so proud of you for getting into the studio. But Instead of saying “I only swatched some color mixes”, I would turn that around and say “Look at the beautiful color mixes I watched!” Yay you! Bravo 👏 💕😘

@BeginnersMind-ArtMind you're right! And I really did swatch some yummy colors! I did several pages of burnt umber added to "muddy" up some atrociously bright colors. Boy did I make some stunningly yummy greens and soft muted purples. I think burnt umber is a magical color! It takes any garish color and turns it into lovely muted and natural colors.

@@melissaamyx2196 I completely agree! Burnt Umber is pure magic in mixes

This is an intuitive painting session where I demonstrate how to use the intuitive painting process to ease the challenges of chronic illness. I intuitively felt drawn to use the gesso to mute and cool the background. It softens and pushes back the background, which in turn , brings the foreground forward, as shown in the video.
