Another thing about the apps :) I think that is a great option for some and a good idea. Im just worried that in itself would get a distraction for me knowing i have used the app and will think about that instead of picking the phone up? Not sure you understand what you mean or if you feel something similar when you use it, but maybe that will also disappear when you have used it after a while.

It tends to disappear for me but I can only speak to my experiences

for me it is quite an extreme. no scroll based apps, no ofher gadgets.. it must be really productive to get rid of anything which does not lead to the goal, but is it the way or just what we are fed with? be productive for whom? this idea of limiting yourself does not sound authentic idk

Thanks for the comment! I feel this. I'm not sure that it's so much productivity but rather autonomy. The ability to not be governed by something that's more short-sighted and directly benefitting another party more than you. Im thinking out loud but my personal thinking atm is if it provides real value (over the course or30/60/90/365 days) then absolutely enjoy it and don't have guilt about doing so.. But, if it takes away or leaves you feeling empty or unfulfilled, then consider looking for something better that doesn't cause that. Also, don't underestimate the power that some of these "distractions" have. I think as long as you're being thoughtful and coming to a conclusion that you can support.. you're being authentic to yourself at that moment in time. You always have the opportunity to change course at a later time.
