this I bought Iphone 15 and I had no idea why was my Premier Pro destroying the quality of my videos!! I think I spent a whole day until I finally found that video and teh root cause!! Thanks!!! A tip that helped me even more - when you export your videos from Iphone, change the Settings on the top of the videos and then export.

This helped so much thanks! Does this mean we have to change our sequence setting to rec 2020 or does it stay rec 709. I normally use h264 1920x1080 seq. For television and have had no problems but I have a new project that has iPhone footage and it's making my life a living hell. Help!
@WildFlourMedia
5 ай бұрын
For some reason Premiere is not giving me the option to change the sequence to rec 2020, only rec 709 or 2100. I found leaving the sequence set to 2100 gave the best result. 709 dulled the colors but would be fixable with some difficult color correction since you wouldn't necessarily be able to see what the final export would look like. Premiere has made some updates since this video, if you can't find where to change the color space check out another comment below from a few weeks ago with the fix.

Looks like the problem is back smh but this time when using 709 as I did in the past. The colors don’t look accurate at all. Not sure what to do at this point since my project is done eek 😥 hope they fix it soon. Great video

Does the export look correct but the preview is showing wrong? I have found you just need to trust the export on this issue, but you may see better results if you change the sequence settings to match the interpreted footage settings.

I'm sorry to hear this solution didn't help. What version of iPhone do you have? Did you try all three solutions?
@WildFlourMedia
5 ай бұрын
After some digging I found that the newer version of Premiere has put the interpret footage color space in the upper right color tab and then further under settings. Make sure you highlight the clip you want to interpret in your timeline to get this to work. Hopefully this helps some!
