I'll have to start with audio and video always being interests of mine as well as lighting, I've learned quite a lot through personal research over the past decade or two. I had to get into something that could pay bills involving a certain American delivery service that doesn't specifically involve packages. I have far much more knowledge of a lot of things that I could go further with and I'm now being put into a position of helping clean up the audio of the church that I've been at for a couple of years and really looking forward to the experience of putting my knowledge to use and hopefully build a portfolio off of it.

Man I've watched all four episodes and I am still craving some more. Thank you for the help you are providing to these churches because speaking out of experience (as a person who does sound at my local church) most of us are just winging it due to the fact that finding a person who have experience is extremely difficult and VERY VERY EXPENSIVE so we just have to do with what we have and can to get by. So these videos for me are not just for entertainment but also try to learn as much as I can

Well the issue isn't Windows itself or user error. The issue is the way how Windows is setup from the factory and you cannot fault the average and even more advanced user for not knowing what and where to turn things off because it can go really, really deep. Installing drivers and making sure everything is updated isn't enough for reliability. By default, it's setup for home/office use. So it does a lot of things in the background you might not want to as it can interfere with the software you want to use. Also, if you care about max reliability, specs are actually going to be really important since Windows doesn't have to luxury of running only on one chipset and you absolutely want to control everything what's inside of that machine. A prebuild home computer probably isn't going to cut it. Windows is more like Linux in that respect. You absolutely can make it as reliable as anything and you get very deep control over the OS especially for situations that call for it. But this church isn''t one of those situations. That's why I will always refer to Mac for clients like this. But boring OS talk aside, that before and after was REALLY satisfying!

Luckily I always have my Macbook hooked up as a fallback option so the switch was pretty seamless. But things happen. It always seems like that nothing crashes until it's go time. But I do think you are right. For things like this, MacOS straight out of the box has been more stable for me as well.

one of the best sounding guitars ive heard in a long time, even on a crappy pa. They need to add a sub (not sure if they have one but kick and piano sound a little thin) Vocals are nice and clear haha even with someone constantly singing off key.

Listen to the board audio. Kick and piano are clear there.

@@chrishammillaudiothey are clear, just thin in the PA, this could also be because of the video compression of the audio. Still 100% better than when you walked in. Well done

The only FOH speakers are the two tiny speakers hanging on the ceiling by the stage. Can’t really get punchy low end out of them and vocals are more important anyway. You’re also hearing the room noise from my tiny action camera that compresses the crap out of the audio. It’s not an accurate representation of what was being heard in the room.
