In the current climate of new cinema cameras and affordable anamorphic zoom lenses it can be easy to forget that documentary filmmaking is more than just a pretty image with a cool lens flare. A lot of videos that go over tips for solo documentary filmmaking tend to focus on technical things like making sure your shots are stable or that your audio is crystal clear. These are all obviously very important, but I wanted to make a video that touches on some of the more overlooked pieces of advice when it comes to solo documentary filmmaking (especially when overseas travel is involved)
