Hi Mav, dunno if it allready got mentioned in the comments and it´s totally up to you since it´s your bud up there but here I go - those retractable studs are mostly made for hard ground like asphalt and concrete. If it would be my behind up the lift I wouldn´t ever use it without some heavy boards underneath them studs to spread the load. Like this the danger of one of the studs starting to slip or sinking in the ground when under load gets reduced by a lot. The lift in 40mph wind gusses ain`t no static but a dynamic load so one needs a good sturdy foundation to be safe. Just saying - So long

I'd make sure to keep the doors locked on the van when spending the night in the air on that thing. There have been issues where people have been in the camper of their trucks and some random stranger in the darkness of the woods came messing around the truck trying to open the doors. If they opened the unlocked doors and turned the switch off, you'd be screwed. I always take people's craziness into mind as a factor everywhere. Also, for someone camping in it long-term, having a rope ladder to fling over the side out of the window in case of equipment or power failure would definitely be helpful.

As a NYC resident, I've seen these vans. They are used by uniformed NYPD officers to monitor and deter crime in and around public housing complexes. Mav just an FYI.... All power lines and traffic lights are 14’ 6" they have to be at least tall enough for a tractor trailer to go underneath which most normal rigs are 13’6" or 13’8” depending on your tires, airbags and weight/load you're carrying. If you're 10'6” you have nothing to worry about except drive thrus at fast food places. Hope this helps you be a bit more comfortable with your van and driving around. Also if you don't trust something, they make measuring poles you can get that will tell you how tall your truck is or how tall the structure your attempting is.
@itsaboutTime2revolt
8 ай бұрын
I wouldn't say he has nothing to worry about at 10'6"....because then, he'd SURELY 100%, hit something that was low clearance if he only paid attention while in a Drive-through. It's just better to always be aware, and paying attention. Other things of low clearance (besides drive-throughs) that you forgot to mention....parking garages, the low hanging utility wires/coax-cables that were commonly found connecting old homes/buildings up to basic utilities. Usually only in areas that were developed before all utilities were universally standardized to be underground (commonly hanging across alleys, over driveways)...thankfully most have been updated and converted to subsurface, except rural areas, small town, unincorporated areas.

And honestly ive always been a call of duty kind of person. I havent really been playing much lately but thats my go to when I do.

That is an evaporative cooler it works by passing dry air through water, and it adds humidity and lowers the air by 10-20 degrees it isnt refrigeration, so it won't cool and help keep the place cool its more for keeping it running pointed at your direction .
