The diesel locomotive ČME3 of the Czechoslovak ČKD was developed in 1963. After successfully passing operational tests it started to work on the railways of the USSR. As a way to improve the quality of machines ČKD released a few modifications: ČME3M, ČME3T, ČME3E. After the end of the production in 1994 period of overhaul and modernization began and give us locomotives ČME3K, ČME3EKO, ČME3G, ČME3P, TME1, LAM.
